..hi..

..recently a friend of mine and me converted from two speed graphics to two chamonix f1s which we like a lot..

..until now we did a lot of landscape but shifted to portraiture recently..

..we have two halogen lights for construction sites (which seems to be the usual way at the start....) but are planning to do the lighting more seriously..

..we dont want to use flashes as its easier for us to judge the lighting when using continuous light..

..does anybody here have experience with led light plates..?
..do they provide enough light..?
..its really hard to judge from the sellers sites how much light they give..
..we are thinking about 180-210-300mm on 4x5 with f16-f22..tripod of course..
..until now we had to deal with times from 1/8 to 1/16 which is apparently too long to get bitingly sharp portraits..(okok..i understand that nobody wants to get BITINGLY sharp portraits but you know what i mean..:-)..)..

..any advice highly appreciated..

..best regards, erik..
