8x10 Fomapan100 with a one hour stand in RO9 1:100 seems to give an easy negative for scanning. I tried 6' 1:40 and 8' 1:75 without much satisfaction.
I use Foma almost exclusively. Stand development with an 8x10 sheet would mean using around 1L of chemicals?
Do you do any agitation at 30 min or let it sit for the entire hour? I'd like to try it out sometime.
Ramiro, I'm new to Foma. But this seemed to work. 2 minutes prewash then 6ml RO9 + 600ml water (a medicine measure to 3 coffee mugs) One minute agitation then one hour stand.
Varying agitation time would probably make a lot of difference to density. The negative is thinnish but gives a nice curve in the scanner display. I usually test with shiny metal and heavy shadows and when that works I can increase agitation for normal subjects.
I work at Uncle Goose! I made those blocks. We make these all the time, and all kinds of blocks. Alphabet blocks in most languages of the world, Sign Language, etc.
What a small world.
Thanks,
Fred
Thank you Christopher, the metal surface test makes a lot of sense. I will give it a try.
