    I saw that too Jonathan although not that exaggerated. When I take the film out of the drum it looks thin as usual, then it starts to darken as it dries. When held against certain surfaces it looks like a positive. As you say, one usually gets that effect with underexposed film.
    Your tungsten rating will be very useful for future reference. I am doing daylight for now but last night I was thinking of using strobes with colored filters to see if that would change anything.

    I metered the bright side of the teapot and the darkest shadow near the base of the spout and the difference was only 3 1/2 stops so I was aiming for N+1 at least. The shadows were just right but the highlights could have used another minute or two in the developer. (I used trays again.) I guess that's why the highlights are controlled--unintentional underdevelopment.

    I'm not sure of the reciprocity with this film yet. The metered exposure time was 2 minutes at f/45 but I added a stop as a guess for reciprocity so the total time was 4 minutes.

    Who knows what Zone III detail lurks in your shadows? The meter knows.

    A Goerz 270mm on Fomapan 8x10. Got the lens last week and it is going to become a favourite.
