It's not fancy, off the shelf parts and the wooden framework is made for each camera type. Here are the basic parts I used to make it. John this solenoid is not strong enough to trigger my 500C/M. That camera takes a lot of force. I'm thinking I could make the solenoid push a cable release attached to the 500C/M that had some mechanical advantage applied and maybe get a stronger solenoid if needed. There is not much space between the shutter button and camera lens for the solenoid anyway on a 500C/M.

The solenoid could only trigger the Pentax when I reduced the area of contact to increase the force by installing a thumb screw insert shown here from a cable release I had.
