Wow Jan, you must have woke up this morning as the owl instead of the coyote

    Thanks so much.
    Thanks,

    Kirk,

It's the old Skin-Walker in me. Some time is works and some time it doesn't. I guess it came with all the washing of the land and sky by the show of lights and the rain last night. It was truly a refreshing morning when the sun came out. You have taught me well.

The washing of the sky and land, and the different animal personae...

These are "Mumbo Jumbo" I can live with.

Very good conversational video. I did especially like the cut-a-ways to images under discussion, and would recommend more of such.

Doug I agree, of the 30 or so interviews they have done, I am the first visual artist. As such they obviously didn't know quite what to do with the images. There is some interest in redoing and expanding that part, driven by the museum that has my archives, but we will have to see.
    Thanks,

Great interview! I have not thought about Carlos Castaneda in decades.

Me either Ed and the question (given to me a week before) made me do some soul searching about what was good about that experience and what was bullshit.
    Thanks,

I do not think as much mischief came out of his work as out of Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land.:-) I remember late night dorm discussions about whether it mattered if there was an Indian or if he just made it all up. I think the good in it was that motivated some people to get interested in real ethnology. We should put in a good word here for Edward Abbey, in case any young people want to look up these fossil writers.
