Scott was at the right place at the right time, as the saying goes. His photography instructor/mentor at Cal was William Garnett,who was teaching in the College of Environmental Design. Scott soon met Brett Weston, bought some of his prints at the 1970's bargain prices, and eventually opened his gallery. He has the complete collection of Brett's portfolios, which are currently being printed in book form by Lodima Press (Michael Smith).Originally Posted by tgtaylor

Just went. Great images (I really like his work) and beautiful prints. I was surprised at the variety of print sizes since I think of him as mostly an 8x10 shooter. So nice to see a wide selection of his work. Definitely going back.
Back in the 1990's I was the Technical Rep for Falcon/Edwal (Edwal Photo Chemistry) and one day George Tice called up and had some questions about Edwal developers. Every now and then he would come to our booth at the Photo Plus trade show in NYC and we would talk about chemistry. Since so many fine art photographers are from the West, it is nice to count George Tice as a fellow native New Jerseyan.
Going this afternoon for the reception & book signing.
