I don't know how to get one in the US of A, but I'll check into it.

In the UK a film holder is a film holder. It, uh, holds film. The dark slide is the plastic or metal sheet which goes over the film by sliding into the film holder (and keeps it dark, I guess); it's the widget with an end tab which is white on one side and black on the other, and you pull it out just before releasing the shutter - assuming you remember that bit.
Just my joke - no flames please!
I have re-purposed bags from charity thrift stores for photography. One is a hard sided computer bag with wheels and a handle, one is a well padded first aid or medic bag. Both were under $10US. Sometimes I have found great bags at pawn shops for similar prices.
Now-a-days I have sunk some money into protective boxes from PhotoBackpacker and all my gear can go into about any non-photo-looking stealth bag while remaining well protected and easy to get to.

Should swallow my black monster or even better my Century Universal.
Is there a US outlet. Listed dealers all have the old country flag not the
hinterlands of the rebellion flag displayed..
I pack my Toyo 810M in an EVOC camera pack. I've been meaning to post a video review of this bag for a while, maybe I'll try to go it this week.
