I think it's more from my digitizing, and from how this photo was pretty much only lit by a flashbulb. I keep the guide number in my head when shooting, but if I'm too far away, the light falls off quickly.

Looks like the back door is open, kinda dark out there...

This image looks almost ageless, I doubt many non-airman could place the era.

It was getting dark outside. But not quite full on night. Firing off flashbulbs while using nightvision goggles would blind everybody... followed up by me getting my ass kicked by the aircrew.

I am very happy with how these photos turned out. With these being Ektar vice one of the Portra films the harsher color adds to the grit and harshness of flying these damn things. They are loud, rumbling, unforgiving creatures.

My dad would have loved the idea you were still shoot with a speed and the stock lens.

A bit under exposed but I would guess that was because of the bellows extension?

You have to get a lot closer before bellows factor would be a factor...

I like it, the "mis-exposure" gives it a raw, war footage feeling.

I'm just learning still, I'm at Acadia National Park and so freaked out ill miss-expose my Velvia50 because of bellows.... Lol
