Nice one, Ben! Great light.

Thanks! It's a fairly basic setup that I've played around with for a few non-soft-focus images, but I thought the light would work well with soft-focus. The model is seated between two tall windows that are illuminating her from behind, and then I hung a dark backdrop on the wall between the windows to use as a backdrop. The fill light comes solely from the reflected light off the light-colored walls of the studio interior. Probably a white reflector would've been useful to lighten her face up a bit, but I also don't dislike the more shadowed look here.
The more studio work I do, the more I understand why photographers have assistants! Having only two hands and only being able to be in once place in any given moment is just not enough a lot of the time.

Thanks for the explications Ben. I like this one a Lot, and also the other with a more classical lighting you have of Shana on Flickr. Very controlled work.
