    over sink tent

I am in the middle of moving my darkroom into a new house. There is no really good way to light proof the laundry room where I have set up my temporary darkroom.

I was thinking of a tent over the laundry sink. Like half a changing bag situated somehow over the sink, so I could get my hands down in there to tray develop film.

Or anything else anyone could think of. I would rather not build tubes, or get a daylight tank, or try one sheet at a time in a paterson tank.

    Thanks!@

You could use a large box with sleeves attached and a large tray bottom. I don't think the sink is needed in developing, just for washing afterwards.

I figured the sleeves would be the hardest part....two long sleeve black t-shirts?

I was figuring having it over the sink, I would not have a box to store or clean.

That, and I could not find a box

I have used a large coat as a changing bag. Fold the hood down over the neck hole and clamp shut, then roll up the bottom of the coat and clamp that shut, then put your arms in the sleeves backwards - works OK... Perhaps you could do a similar thing, sewing part of a scavenged coat onto your tent.

Yes, you could use a coat. Or, if you want, I have a large changing bag with wear to the zipper end, but good sleeves that you can have for postage.

Pick up a Fuji darkbox FDB-12. They have an external frame that takes about 10 seconds to set up to form a cubic changing bag that is about two feet on each side. The bag is attached to a platform that lets you fold the whole thing up yet provides a solid base for the bag in use. They usually go for about $50 on ebay. Completed auction #140623162607
    has some pictures of one.
