Yankee tank query...not the daylight beast!

    Hi All,

I'm trying to find some lids (floating and snap on) for my Yankee UF45 tanks. These are the ones that require film hangers not the "daylight" piece of crap that we all have owned and abandoned, some of us more than
    once .

No one seems to list the lids separately but all the usual suspects sell the tanks. I can't find any contact information for the company (Yankee) but they must still be in business.

    Thanks in advance,

    JD

I don't think they are in the business of making photo equipment, if they are in business at all.
Get a piece of construction extruded foam from a construction site. They should have scrap from which you can cut what you need. I doesn't soak up lquid, and floats very well.

Yankee is still in business. BHPhoto handles the entire line of Yankee products.

However, I don't see the lids for the Yankee hanger tanks listed separately.

Jim...thanks for the suggestion. Sounds like an excellent alternative.

Gem, I figured they were still around as everyone seems to have the tanks available new. I'd love to find the "real deal", especially the snap on lids, but the tanks w/both lids are cheap enough I might just buy a couple more. Can't have too many...right?

    Thank you both,

    JD
