    RADAR Lens

I've used a 12" Radar for the last few months. It's a good lens that's usually available at a reasonable price. It is of course uncoated so you have to watch for flare. I usually just shade it with the darkslide. As I learned the hard way, when photographing from a light colored surface you have to watch out for reflections from below. For 99% of what I've tried the coverage for 8x10 is ample. With extreme front rise or back swing, there's been a bit of falloff. Easy to work around though. No problems ever for 5x7. For the price this is a great lens. Nice, sharp images. Usually comes in a Betax #5 from the examples I've seen. Since this gives you f4.5 for a maximum aperture, focusing is easy.
