Love this photo, and the detail as well.
Very nice tones; it makes want to get into this whole wet-plate thing, but I'm already over-taxed with gear and work.
    Bravo!

I've been moving houses. Lots and lots of plates over the years. Most end up in pile or a box or shoved here or there on a rack....
I never scanned this one because of a few reasons but I like it cropped. It was a full plate but this is about a 1/4 of it. Here it is dust an all

    Wow! Amazing concept! Excellent excision.

Is this image made with a larger purpose or just a concept dreamed up?

Thanks! There is no larger purpose behind it. The plates I make are all individual little "story's" which pop up in my mind.

I'm a little jealous, I often times think more Cinemagraphically in a plotted storyline, so a lot of my projects involve many shoots put together in a story, and I've never been able to cut down all of that into one single image to make a powerful statement, I'm really working on that, but you've mastered it seems

Yes, the ongoing saga of this character is most enjoyable. Almost like a PBS series.
The field of depth seems to imply motion which fits perfectly. I also appreciate the work that it takes to bring these images to life.
    Wonderful work Alex.
