thank you Randy!
thank you John (but I hate you now, I have Sade's "smooth operator" in head for all day long...)
Hahaha, sorry about that :-) "Heyyyyyy, "once upon a time you dressed so fine, threw the bums a dime...................Like a rolling stone......................
Here's my first plate. (Actually, the 5th one I produced last night, but the other ones got screwed up due to an issue with my plate holder.)
I used the Bostick and Sullivan kit with a bank of 4' fluorescent lights so I could shoot indoors at night.
hello, my worst plate ever, I had 15 minutes left to make it.
Running out of 13x18 plate I took a very dirty one in the crap pile, "clean it" with alcohol but knew my collodion layer won't stick on this glass plate
When the emulsion had lifted, I made a sandwich with 2 pieces of glass...so air bubles, no cleaning with wax and newton rings later, it's finished
Nede, I like the fact that you went for it and got this result.
It has character (and a very cool image).
thank you John, IRL it's not so bad (no newton rings) and quite 3D looking when drenched in (drenched with?) light
