    Greetings from Connecticut!

    Hello everybody!
I have been reading your forums quite a bit over the past couple of weeks as I have decided to buy a camera. My Canon 5d and Voightlander lenses were stolen some months ago... and I didnt have the money for replacements(6 months in SE Asia with the thing and it gets taken at country fair in Oregon!). I have always had an interest in LF- and have just this morning taken the initial plunge with the purchase of a nearly complete(and plenty for now) Graphic view camera kit in amazing condition w lenses, meter, polaroid and roll back, etc.

I am very excited to be behind the camera soon and am currently reading all I can regarding exposure compensation, movement theories, gear, etc. . . .
I am sure that you will be hearing from me

Welcome, BKLZ. I went an entire year without LF gear as all my stuff was stolen. Thieves broke into my house and darkroom while I was in Japan. Luckily insurance covered everything.

I have only fiddled w LF gear- it has always been out of my reach for one reason or another. Just one of the lenses to the Canon which was stolen cost more than the kit I just bought(I think I got a great deal... just the backs and film holders or so would pay for it all if I sold them off.... and mostly happy that I have just about everything I need). I am much more of a tinkerer than a cell phone Facebook picture prodigy and cant wait to take the camera on the road. Im probably gonna buy a few hundred sheets of film and cruise back out to SE Asia. Already composing for the long rows of bells at the monasteries and the crazy crooked squalor in Bangkok. This picture would have benefited from a view cam. . . . Click image for larger version.
