Classic Taillights and Fins - Post yours

Why don't we start a thread on LF pictures of classic vehicle tail lights, chrome, fins, and rear angles?

Does it just have to be taillights and fins? Vintage cars/trucks/dragsters in general?

I didn't say "post your 1947 - 1964" round, rocket exhaust shaped tail lights. Just "classic taillights"!

Oh come on now! We're not too sophisticated to shoot classic car parts . . are we??

    '55 bird

Shot with the 13 1/4" Pinkham Smith Series IV #2B

When I was 19 I bought a '55 T-Bird from the original owner (it was only 16 years old then) with a fresh overhaul on the 292 V8 and it was a stick and overdrive car. I beat the tobacco juice out of it, like any 19 year old would, but the love affair has never died. You sit a few inches off the pavement with your legs sticking straight out in front of you, the long creased front fenders stretching out with the hood and intake bubble between.

They were godly uncomfortable and handled like a Frito Lay truck. In a panic stop the rear end would invariable come around 180 degrees so you'd be staring at oncoming traffic, if you lived through it.

When you're in love, you put up with all that and more. To this day, there isn't a car on earth that looks that good sitting still.
