JeRuFo,
Thank you. The tree is beautiful. It is 90 years old and about 60 feet high. It is one of the largest in the area.

Here is a photograph of the blossoms from the dogwood tree in the front yard.
You guys crack me up.:D
The response he gave sounds suspiciously like it came from a tourist brochure. The link is interesting if you want to go to where the real Indians are.

Alas, I have but one:( - a 10" WF Ektar. I love it.:D

Death Valley at the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes.
Years ago, I followed Fred Picker's advice and used Polaroid Type 52 film. Here are a couple of examples made in the Columbia River Gorge.

Latoural Creek below the falls.
Babblings aside:rolleyes:, this photograph was made in the ghost town of Ryolite, Nevada some years ago. I was on my way to Death Valley.
Made with the 120mm Super Angulon on the 4x5 Zone Vi.

Well, that didn't work. It refers to an attachment. Lets do it again.

Miguel,
The scan of Latoural Falls is from a Selenium toned B&W print. I am really terrible at scanning anyway.:o I don't know why some actually look like the print and most...

With this 3-in-1 scanner, its impossible to maintain texture in the high values while still having them remain white!

1" x 14"? Hum... there's a thought. Perhaps a paint can ultrawide panorama.
After all of the effort to figure developing time and reciprocity correction, and then with its discontinuation, it is good news that ‘chiarescuro’ still has Efke Infrared in 4x5 and 11x14.

Andrew,
I would love to see that spectral sensitivity graph.

Beautiful camera!
After the grey paint is stripped (apologies to your girlfriend, Roger), you can see that the woodworking is pretty nice too.

Although I'm not able to see your photo, for whatever reason, I bought a B&J 5x7 about 3 years ago and refinished it as well. Swell little camera. Here's mine.

The problem with "Bigger is better" is that it literally forces the viewer away from the photograph. Somehow there seems to be a greater intimacy, not just physically but emotionally when the viewer...

I lean toward the moderately wide-angle part of the spectrum. On the 8x10 it’s mostly the 10” and sometimes the 12” convertible (19” + 23½”). I guess that makes four.
On the 5x7 it’s almost...
I see from the "lens cover" that Schneider now makes pinholes. :p

Owned the longest and still do... that would be my 305mm(12") B&L convertable Protar. It sits in a Betax #5 shutter.

broddi,
Thanks for your comments. Yes the scene seems dark and forboding; and the large rock in the forgroung dominates too much.

This lens is slightly shorter than the range you indicated but the 165mm Angulon is a wonderful lens and has enormous coverage. It easily covers 8x10 with lots of movements. Pre-war models are more...
