  3. Re: HELP needed to re-attach counterweight on FOBA Camera Stand

The top piece is not bolted in and can fall off (I've moved my ASABA stand several times) The rope (cord) usually comes off the pulley. Did the weight become untied from the rope? If not just tip the...
  4. Re: 65mm vs. 75mm Super Angulon for Linhof Technar?

Mark, I used a 65mm in the Sinar Handy. Yes it had some falloff but not a lot and I liked the look. With the handy on a non-shift lensboard, you were using the center of the lens and falloff was more...

    Re: nikkor t ed 800 / 1200 mm

I have the 600T that I use with a Linhof 5x7 Technika V. I use one tripod with a Bogen Magic Arm attached to the front (fold down part of camera) and clamp to a tripod leg for added stability. The...
  7. Re: Questions regarding Linhof multifocus viewfinder (latest version)

I don't believe the direction matters. The distance will rotate either direction without stops. The Focal length rotates counter clockwise from shortest focal length to longest and stops there

Re: barrel lens, need basic help

The slot is for filters. This is a process camera lens and the slot puts the filters between the lenses for color separations.

Re: Why no love for the 5x7?

I think the Linhof 5x7 Technika is a great camera and I love the 5x7 format. Not to mention adding the Canham 6x17 back. It's quicker to set up and lighter than my Toyo 810M. And even though I find...

    Re: Tripod Head Challenge!

I have both the 405 and 410. I put everything up to a Toyo 810M on them. Most frequently a 5x7 Linhof Technika. No problem. I'm in Flagstaff if you want to try them out.

I didn't even look (obviously) I just saw the new post by hiend61...I jumped right in.
  15. Re: Rodenstock Ronar apo cl 800 how to fit shutter?

Since it's not a telephoto design, it's straight-up 800mm (or 31 1/2 inches) focused at infinity. as you focus closer you need more bellows. I used to have a 610mm Nikkor. To shoot a face on 8x10...

I have a house in Flagstaff and am interested! In fact it may be just what I'm looking for. 2013? I'll be around this February.

  18. Re: When will you give up large format and switch completely to digital?

This thread is ironic to me because I just took out my 8x10 camera, that I haven"t used in 10 years, to see if the three boxes of 8x10 polaroid were still good. I've been shooting digital for the...

    Re: Lens for 4x5-6x12

The tourist was a 6x9 camera. I don't know what that lens covers but I'd be surprised if it covered 6x12.

You will need a 47 or 58 XL lens to cover 6x12, giving you the 35mm equivilent of 24-28mm.

Re: Sinar Graflok Sliding back Adapter

    Kiran,

I have this same Sinar sliding back. I got it about 15 years ago but haven't used it in about 9 years, I'm looking now to see if I have a book for it.

I don't recall having any problems...
