These days, it's sometimes a challenge to find someone who wants it for free.
Back in the 1970's I purchased a home made rocker for sheet film. It had three trays for 4x5 film. It moved slow enough that the fluid flowed to the end, then sort of splashed the other way, thus...
If you have any interest in railroading, there's an excellent U.P. Museum in Council Bluffs, and there's a U.P. Boy along with a DD-40 Diesel on display just off I-80 in Omaha next to the river.
Seems that I remember them being promoted as having a filter added that corrected the light hitting the sensor relative to b&w film, along with some baffles to reduce internal reflections.
I signed up for the subscription and really like it. I believe they have decided to keep it at $10 per month permanently. I don't allow them to take it out of my account, I let them charge a credit...
I've been going to buy a 750 for some time now, but kept putting it off. For once, procrastination paid off.
Love the photo you posted Kirk.
I received a catalog today from a company named Archival Museum Supplies based in San Diego. It looks just like the old Light Impressions catalogs with most of the same things in it.
I'm thinking...
I had to chuckle when I studied your photo. You see, it's a lot like my first darkroom back some 40 years ago. The only difference is that I didn't have the skill to build a nice stand like you...
Nice photos. I assume they're digital?
I've been there around New Years Day and it wasn't very crowded.
This move by Adobe will be watched very closely by other big players. I would think Microsoft would already be thinking of it as a way to get more money out of products such as MS Office.
Here's a company that makes outstanding software at very reasonable prices. I've used several pieces of it for years, including their excellent Web Design software. Their PhotoPlus is pretty good....
Does it have the diffusion disc below the tubes?
How about eliminating or confirming if it's a holder issue by simply processing a sheet of film right out of the box that has never been in a holder. Maybe that's already been done and I missed it...
I didn't see this pending Kodak bankruptcy story posted anywhere so I'll toss it in. If it's elsewhere a mod can delete it.

While attending the 1975 Ansel Adams Workshop in Yosemite, we had a gathering in the gym of the high school there. I think it was a high school, perhaps some other school.
What was notable to me...
The great thing about this camera is that, according to the seller, it has "awesome movements". Let Deardorff try to beat that.
Wear a hard hat and when a guard shows up start looking at cracks and photographing them. Tell him to walk lightly on this section, it may no longer hold the weight of both of us.
Having followed this thread after remembering Light Impressions from the "good old days", I was amused when I received a Light Impressions catalog in the mail yesterday. It went in straight to the...
Did they drive a golden spike?
It can be helpful to place your dark cloth over the top of the camera when removing and inserting the dark slide.
I have only used standard acrylic for framing and displaying b&w prints since the 1970's. I feel the green tint of glass ruins a b&w print.
Perhaps the bidder thinks that's real gold hardware.
Very nice, to say the least.
I remember the silver run-up in the 1980s. What I have never forgotten was that Kodak raised the price of paper due to the silver prices and when silver tumbled, they didn't lower paper prices, but...
My computer tech put Microsoft Security Essentials on my computer, which uses Firefox, several months ago. Smooth, effective, non-intrusive. It's like it isn't there.
I'm not a fan of Microsoft...
Your father had some nice equipment, and it was obviously put together to do an effective job. Problem is, it isn't worth much due to the tremendous decline in demand. A couple of years ago, I...
Very sad to have this happen.
Your photo work is gorgeous. How great it is that someone is doing this type of high quality documentation before these beautiful structures are gone, for whatever...
That might slow one down a little on too much bracketing.:)
IMO, Paypal give people a major false sense of security. The experiences in this thread sort of support my feelings. Sorry this happened. The disappointment runs far deeper than just the monetary...
I am not afraid.
Besides, I didn't mention you.
I assume there must be at least a couple of members of this forum who wear aluminum foil hats to keep the outer space aliens from bombarding their brains with harmful rays?:)
Brain, good that you brought up the tip thing. I'm sure it varies from place to place, but the brief experiences I have had indicate that tips were appreciated.
Photographing individuals varies...
The permit cost certainly seems reasonable.
There are a lot of numbers and email addresses available on the Redbud web site. It might be challenging as to which to contact. Perhaps tourism.

Mine have all failed also. I too will never buy another Lacie drive.

I didn't know we could pick and choose which laws we wanted to obey. I learn something new every day on this forum.
Wearing a yellow hard hat often does wonders. Everyone thinks you're an official worker bee on duty.
I attended the Ansel Adams Workshop in 1975 in Yosemite and Ray was one of the instructors. Great photographer and a really nice guy. I remember Ansel being very impressed with Ray's photographic...
