Just rec'd my TZ45-IIB on Sat. Used it on Sunday. Seems pretty nice for an inexpensive camera. I used a 210mm and worked fine. Will try my 90mm fuji lens next outing. My only problem so far has been...

"Chin Music"? That's pretty funny term. I've never heard it.
I've seen the paper timer go for >$200 on Ebay. Don't know about the enlarging timer.
"Sorry folks, with the attitude that is going on in the Large Format business"
What attitude is Dave talking about? As a newbie, I'm curious.
Thanks Bob....I didn't post until late Friday night. Now I know where to go for Linhof info.
Does anyone know, or can point me to the specs on this camera. They don't seem to be listed on the Linhof site. Also checked Cameraquest as well.
So what's the difference w/ the Ries tilt heads? are they capable of all movements of a pan head as well?
Finally ordered my Field Camera. Should have it in a days. Already have the new Feisol Tournament 'pod. Now I need a head. I know ball heads are smaller, lighter weight and generally cheaper than...
I like the Zone VI timer. It's easy to use. They seem to go for a lot of money on EBAY.
Darren,
Thank You!!! The question I had asked a few days ago was how to figure max focal length from a given bellows size. So what is the multiplication factor? approx x3?
Steve,
Thanks for the reply. Those are the FL's I was considering as well. I'm after studio portraits for the most part w/ the goal of making contact prints using alternative processes. The camera...
Best FL for shooting portraits on a 5x7 back. Any lens suggestions?

How do I calculate the longest focal length possible w/ a given bellows? I know I need to know the measurement of the length....is there some multiplication factor?
Yes, that's the one. Thanks fellas.
Looking for info on this one. Movements? Can it be packed small? Weight? Any and all answers greatly welcome...
Thanks Will!
Ok Whitaker. I'm still new to LF. I've seen some cameras listed (they were 4x5 w/ non reversible backs. Also, I think the current Chamonix may have a non-reversible? I may be confused.
Cool. The reason I ask is that seems other cameras do not.
I see....Thanks Peter, for the clarification.
What's the dif between F and M lines? Is it primarily gearing?
Can anyone tell me about the "Pocket Expedition" 5x7? I'm wondering if the back is reversible. If not, does it have 2 tripod mounts? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I was quoted a price of $2,200 on a new Chamonix 5x7.....
Thanks.
You know....good question. I played w/ a Tachihara yesterday at the monthly camera show. Not to be rude or step on anyone's toes, but I found it quite flimsy. Also, the focusing knob was very sticky....
"I'd opt for the 'dorff, but I'm a 'dorffy kind of a guy "
So why do you prefer the 'dorff? build? functionality?
(1) Late model Deardorf 5x7 w/ extra (4x5 back) in Mint condition
(2) Wisner Expedition 4x5 in 8-9 condition.
Would buy either? Why or why not?
I want to use the 5x7 negs for contact printing perhaps w/ some alternative processes.
The Analyser meters, then adjusts exposure time based on the chosen filter. So the filter is actually inserted after the meter reading is taken. SO it's a little different than the traditional in...
Thanks guys. Has anyone ever tried the enalrging 4x5-5x7 back? I'm thinking it's something I would keep at home for portraits and wondering what the price might be on that.
