    For the 14x17 I have an affinity for the little 12"/22"/27" Gundlach Perigraphic convertible. Also works great on my 8x10. Uncoated with alphax shutter.

    Just remember robust front standards and heavy lenses sometimes defeat the purpose of a light camera.

    Century Universal is around 9 lbs, inexpensive and comes up on eBay on a regular basis.

    I am in Los Angeles for the next few years then moving to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington. No reducing backs for now. 43" bellows. Six months lead time because of the holders.

    I'm ordering the R.Ritter camera and four holders. It can do horizontal and vertical. Richard is a great guy and master camera builder. Extremely light.

    Wasn't experimenting with all the lenses and gear worth it? One of my favorite things you did was experimenting with the heliar lens.
