Believe me, I've done it all. Humidifier, a test print 5x/week, dust cover. Sometimes I'll run test prints 4 days straight. On the 5th day, I get nothing! I even have the Epson program to charge and...

That's good to know! Thank you!
Sandy, thanks! It seems to be the C/VM channel that clogs constantly so I can print B&W but no color.
I want a printer that does it all like the 4900 when healthy.
I cannot take the clogging issues of the Epson 4900 anymore and want to replace mine. Does anyone have any first-hand experience with the Epson Surecolor P800?
What rags does it print on well? Does...
Hi Tony! I use the Jobo system extensively - paper, Xray and traditional film. I've even used it for ortho-lith film
I use the same volumes I use for film when developing paper. Using a rough...

Erik, you are on a tear! Keep it up! Love this one too!
The bane of the great shot - right place at the right time!
Wow Sandy! Nice!
Jeff, awesome! Someone listened to me for a change.[emoji6]
Totally love it! Isn't making an oil print a blast?
Bob, Erik and David - well done! Beautiful prints indeed!
Randy, you can make digital negatives with the Epson 4900 and the Epson ink set. That is all I use. Have had it since 2012.

Agree that the art is in the image but if the flaws are so much that they detract from the image or even become the art, then isn't the craftsmanship as important as the image?
The art in wet plates is not in the flaws, not at all. Is in how clean your plate and silver bath are, how carefully you pour the collodion and sink the plate in the silver, how carefully you take it...
Get the R&F heat gun.
You can get natural bristle paint brushes from Home Depot.
I use small baking pans to melt the wax.
Get a skillet as your hot plate.

Printed to 14x21 on Seichosen Kozo paper in Epson 4900
Encaustic Art by Lissa Rankin plus all I could read about it online. Also, whilst getting supplies at Plaza Art in Cincinnati, I ran into an artist. When she saw me getting encaustic supplies, she...
I am harnessing more or less the pictorial effect and less for painting.
I have been dabbling in encaustic for the last few weeks and really like it.
For one, it is a really cheap way of presenting one's work.
The biggest investment is a heat gun and a hot plate.
The...

I like Jeff Wall's work but then I really admire conceptual work and one day when I grow up, that is what I want to do. It is really not for everybody but then that's what makes the world go round,...
BTW, what dilution of Selenium did you use? Did you tone before or after fixing?
Nicely done. The first one is my favorite.
I use the Epson 4900. No QTR.
Nice image!
