I like. The soundtrack is a pain. But the pix are nice.
I got lots of IR shots, but all small format. IR yields fuzzy images for the most part. That is something I don't like about it. I read how some of you think a 4 x 5 image is 35mm when it is shot in...
Anyone sell stock photos?
Who do you use?
Have you found it worthwhile to bother with?
Thanks
When you talking specialized inks Lenny, what is the price tag for inking up the big printers?
Have a few questions about the 20 x 24 Polaroid.
1) How much per shot was the film or / is the cost of the film if it is still available? (I did a quick search and could not find any film.)
2)...
What % of your work is in LF...4 x 5 and up?
Yes, Op it is being considerate if your restore it.
No, I usually don't restore much. i do clean paths on trails though. So people don't trip on rocks that just rolled down or branches that fall.
Is it better to print in batches to save ink? Was wondering if you use up ink to prime every time you turn the pritner on for 1 print?
What are digital negatives?
Wow, that is a helluva printer. Too big for me though. Just need to 13 x 19.
Thanks Peter, didn't know it. Found the image someplace on the web with no author. Sorry for the mistake.
Tried to correct my post, but edit feature expired.
Beautiful Corran!
[QUOTE=Leigh;922431]You need to do some more research before you post other peoples' work without attribution...
Or you'll find yourself PNG'd here pretty fast.
I think the reason you were...
How did it work out for you?
Any samples to post?
how do you come up with a project?
Am open minded. I shoot almost anything. I put myself out there and shoot. One thing leads to another. I ask and advertise. but advertising has not paid off so...
What is wrong with HDR? You realize when you dodge and burn you are doing 'basic' HDR?
Oh well, read what you like. That is what I do.
OK, thanks Frank. I'd like to see the pix quality first.
How is the binding? Glued? Do the pages pull out or are they solid?
Thanks for the booksmart, will check them out.
Sorry, but unless it violates the law or you want to be my personal secretary and type my posts...I must go with tog. Oh, tog if for phot tog grapher not photography.
OP...Don't need spray coating if using for water repellant. Cured ink jet are very waterproof.
OK, scanned through about 25 pages of stuff. You guys are one helluva group of chemists...Outstanding work!!
'Almost' makes me what to start back with film and wet emulsions.
Thanks for...
V nice...octopus lady!
What is it? An aboriginal with the panties pulled down? Wild stuff!
Good for you Frank!
If I sold 50 copies I'd be very happy to get some pix out there.
Sure, if Blurb sells them that is even better. I'd really like a turnkey deal better. If blurb wants them...
Not looking to make any $$. Looking to pay for printing cost. Never made a fudging dime for my pix taking...just love it.
How much is a 75 page book with mostly BW and possibly a few color pix? ...

Great thread, nice stuff!!
Anyone try making their own photo books to sell with Blurb?
http://www.blurb.com/
Is it a practical thing to do or not?
Thanks
I don't get to meet many people, not very social. I sometimes meet people when shooting. Since I like shooting people, it is always welcome to find new subjects. Was out at a demo site shooting and...
I have no tog friends. That is what I use forums for.
OP...As an offshoot to my simple living work, I now use the practice of "voluntary solitude" to give me a more peaceful life. The same way I pick and choose which complexities of living I allow in my...
From my tests with printers under $500. It seems some are better for BW and others for color. A $100 printer may do better at BW than a $500 printer. But it may not do as well with color as the $500...
nice!!
OP...Dunno.
The plat looks kinda flat. Would like too see them printed closer in style esp with contrast. They both need more development with the blacks...at least for my taste.
What i did...
Sorry guys. Forum would not accept the report. (Too many pix) Here is the link...
...
OK Jim...and make sure you avoid my dye stability tests as well. (They are non Ctein approved.)
From what I recall, this forum limits the # of photos one can post in a thread. So i may have to...
If you ever really want to know...soak a piece of the DT in water. Within a few hours the dye will run out. But that report is in my test results as well. Cured inkjet is VERY water proof. Uncured...
Well that is somthing...out of 3 forums your the only open minded reply I recieved!
Report should be done in a few days...hoping!
And thanks for the open minded reply!
