The Tachihara takes the 140mmX140mm Sinar/Horseman board.
They are Horseman backs with the Arca name plate. No other changes from what I understand.
Arca listed film holders in their last printed catalog. To me they looked like Fidelity or Lisco brand with an Arca-Swiss name on it(I could be wrong though). The new price list dated Jan. 1, 2004 no...
210mm for me too.
The CGJ has no rear raise, rear base tilt only, non-interchangeable bellows. Yes the QuickLoad, ReadyLoad, and Polariod holders will work on either camera.
We have all the production serial numbers from 1910 to 1998 on file. Just email.
Alan does great work. Highly recommended.
The front focus is not geared. This was a way to keep the price down on the Discovery model.
Yes.
Armin, Just so you know, Schneider is no longer making Vacuum back. They had too many problems with the material it was made from with static electricity.
Well Bob, I am sure it can't hurt to try.
Bob, Yes we can deliver and save people alot of $$$$.
Micro Metric is a geared version of the Orbix tilt. Not yet available from Arca.
Not available yet.
Horseman also makes a Horseman (Sinar) to Linhof Technika adapt. Part #23516.
We put the 210XL on a 12X20 camera and it seemed to work fine with no movements.
Just today (12/04/00) Schneider Germany announced the the G-Claron is being discontinued. The G-Clarons are some of my personal favorite lenses. Sorry to see them go.
We were told the film is coming out in November. Jeff
We were told this head will cost around $2000 but the actual street price has not been set yet. Jeff
Try K&S Photographics. Phone #414-271-6004. Jeff
We spoke with Germany today. The lens should be available in mid November.
Fuji NPC(160) is their version of Kodak 160VC.
We were told that Fuji is coming out with their new film (NPC) in Quickload format.
The APX100 in 8X10 was also dropped from the USA market last year.
38mm XL Super-Angulon. Might be ready for Photokina. Jeff
Paul, Yes there is another XL lens to be announced at Photokina in September. It will be a Super-Angulon design. I have sworn not to tell anymore info. at this time. Sorry! Jeff.
The Rodenstock has ED glass and a larger image circle than the Schneider. They should be just as sharp and contrasty as each other. The ED glass will allow you to use more of the image circle...
If you are looking at numbers, Don't forget the other Schneider new lenses. 210XL, 480 Tele, Their line of digital lenses, Plus the secret XL (besides the 80mm) that will be announced in September....
Hi Kerry, The lens is going to have an f stop of 4.5 . Jeff
Yes the Wista boards are a mirror copy of Linhof boards. The Wista crest even looks like Linhof.
The Pro holder has a built in timer and thermometer. You put in a code number for the film being used, then it adjusts the timer for the temp. We just got some in and they seem to work well. Jeff.
That was fast, You just picked up the camera a few hours ago. Just to clarify you have an F-line Field version. Jeff.
Yes the Canham boards work just fine in a Toyo. Jeff
I second the vote for Quality Light Metric. All they do are repair and calibrate light meters. Jeff
The Brainbox has not been available for at least 4 or 5 years. Arca-Swiss also has no plans of making a new version. Sorry. Jeff
Yes we just started importing the Fuji Velvia and Provia in 5X7. The new "F" Provia is not available in 5X7 yet. They are 20 sheet boxes. Cost per box is $100. P.S. Our web site is being updated....
A 90mm is not that wide of a lens for 4X5. I do not believe a center filter is needed. Test the lens and if you feel one is needed then buy the filter. Jeff
A great safelight, But be careful. In smaller darkrooms it can be way too powerful and fog your paper. Check your paper before you do any serious printing. Jeff
I use this lens on my 8X10. Very sharp and good contrast. I would recommend it. Good luck. Jeff
Benjamin, With the German Mark being so weak, it is cheaper to buy Linhof items in the USA. Prices have come down considerably! Example: Master Technika 2000 body currently is selling for $3695....
