    I've got an i7 processor with 12gig of ram, windows 7, cs5. My scans are 900mb & some PS files can be as large as 3.5 gig. Performance has been great. No regrets with my setup.

    I had the exact same problem and couldn't believe how long it took to read the folder. The steps below worked for me.

    I took those July 12 and July 13. The first morning I spotted a mountain lion on my drive up the hill. Had a pretty good day.

    As was mentioned earlier, if your near Port Angeles try photographing the lupine meadow at Hurricane ridge before sunrise. I've got some good shots there.
