Would be reasonably easy to DIY modify one. On those cameras, the pinhole is drilled in a brownie pan, it's only held on by 8 screws so replacing the pan with a 3D printed cone for the 75mm would be...

I'm not sure what the shipping arrangements might be for you, but KEH.com has a Fuji 360mm for $439.00 at the moment.
Speaking from experience with the 65/5.6 Super Angulon on a 45F-2, it will focus just fine and is entirely usable with the universal bellows - bag bellows or a recessed lens board are by no means...
I have been quite happy with my 90/6.8 Grandagon-N on 4x5 and 6x17, it's a nice compromise between size and max aperture. It was also available branded as a Caltar-IIN, they are typically a bit...
65mm will infinity focus on my 45F2 with a flat board and universal bellows, but you will get almost no movements as the bellows are very compressed.
I'm a bit confused, why can't you use the 90mm with the 617 back? I've been using that exact lens (90/6.8 Grandagon-N) with a 617 back for years. You're not going to get a ton of movements on 617 but...
That's very odd, looking at pictures of SCX bellows online the light trap groove looks identical to the ones on my SC2. Are they maybe bent or damaged in some fashion?
Any of the Chamonix 4x5 offerings should work with your existing lensboard collection and are excellent, lightweight field cameras. The 45F-2 is a great all-rounder (and my personal choice), the...
Yep, I definitely had a similar idiot-Eureka moment the first time I put my 65mm on mine.
Some Compurs had limited aperture ranges to match the lenses installed in them. I have a Synchro-Compur where the aperture only opens as wide as the pupil size of its 65/5.6 Super Angulon.
A center ND doesn't stop falloff from occurring, it just darkens the middle to even out the exposure. It should have the same effect regardless of which end of the lens it's installed on.
They're a bit on the low-contrast side but look totally usable! Nice job!
No problem Jim, happy to help out!
If your laser-engraved scales turn out nicely, you might consider offering scale production as a service.
Got you covered.

Is your Grandagon-N in a black-ring Copal 0? If so I can take some photos of the scales against a ruler for you.
Good to know, thanks. The Compur for my older 65mm/5.6 Super Angulon only opens as wide as the lens pupil, which is quite small.
An Apo Symmar seems a bit new for a Compur. Do you know if that's the original shutter for those cells? Sometimes shutter aperture openings are matched to the exit pupil size of the lenses they were...
I also got started with a Cambo SC monorail, and since getting my 45F-2 the Cambo has never left its case. I have not run into a situation where the Chamonix felt particularly limiting to me - it's...
Yeah, I figure there's a bit of an optical illusion happening due to the back being narrower at the top. Happy to hear things are all shipshape on yours!
I also took a square to my 45F-2 and with the back set on the indexing pegs, the back is dead straight.
If you want something in the 240-ish range but don't want to deal with a Copal 3, maybe consider the Fujinon 250mm f/6.3 (or the earlier f/6.7 with greater coverage) in a Copal 1.
Yep, can confirm that to mount a C3 on my 45NII, the spacer needs to go between the shutter body and the front of the lensboard.
Paramount Camera Repair in Saskatoon will do LF CLAs. I haven't sent my gear there yet, but they said the usual charge is $140-$180 CAD for the service.
Agreed, something's not right with your Graflok mount. My 45F2 holds my 6x17 back nice and tight.
WD-40 is a light paraffin-based oil suspended in solvent (among other things). The whole point of WD-40 was for the solvent to displace water and other contaminants, and evaporate leaving the light...
No need for a recessed board on a Chamonix 45 for a 75mm. IIRC, the published minimum bellows draw is 52mm.
Sorry, that image is from Chamonix's site, not one of my own. A sharp-eyed user above identified it though!
Aha, yes, you've got it now. By loosening the knobs on the bottom side of the bed as well as the top, you can slide them back and forth to give you a bit more flexibility on rear standard position.
I believe you can also add Komura to that list, they made at least one lens under the "Caltar Pro Series" label, a rather huge 90/5.6 with equally large (259mm) coverage.
This is a side view of a fully drawn-in 45N Classic:

Yours should be fairly similar to set up, can you show what's keeping your rear standard from moving further...
Cambo 45NII owner here, I had to buy my cat separately, is the cat a standard feature on the 45NX?
The Woodman is certainly light, but solid build and rigidity are unfortunately not qualities it is known for. That said, I'm sure it's not a terrible camera by any means and will likely work quite...
Just in case you missed Kent's post earlier - Chamonix offers optional bag bellows for all of its 4x5 models. You do not need a "special" Chamonix camera to use bag bellows.
FWIW, I started with a...
I have a couple of the Luland boards for my Chamonix, they are shockingly well-manufactured for the price.

The Chamonix 45F2 with 6x17 back on a nice summer evening.
TCS is a great outfit! It's often worth the effort to call them, especially with regards to darkroom and film stock - they often have more in the store than the website lists.
There certainly seems to be some overlaps in serials for ringed vs non-ringed Caltars and Rodenstocks. I also took a gander at eBay and found a 90/4.5 Grandagon-N serial 11695xxx (~2001) with no...
The H-1 doesn't use a focus bed with threaded holes like the N or F series cameras, so I don't believe the extension would be able to mount to it, nor would the H-1 front standard mount to the...
The rollfilm back is a Shen Hao SH617 6x17/6x12/6x9 back, mounted on my 45N2 in the picture. It comes with the rollfilm back and separate ground glass unit, all mounted via Graflok. It's indeed...
You'll love the Chamonix - so nicely built and intuitive to use. It's impressive how versatile it is and how little it weighs!
