Re: safe haven for tiny formats

I used to shoot Agfa Ultra 50 in 120 back around 2000 or so. I see there is some on ebay. Looked pretty good back in the day, sharp as a tack, but I had trouble getting the color right printing. ...

  3. Re: Will LF and Film Become An Artistic Medium Only?

I've been away from film for the last year and half, I've been busy and have to take photos of my work that is mostly descriptive, so digital is the logical choice. Last week I finally took out the...
  4. Re: What Is Most Missed From The Pratice of LF Back In The 1990's

I started a career in photo labs in 1997, and I enjoyed some of it. The labs I worked in handled everything from the worst possible consumer printing to 8x10 E-6. The LF professional work that came...
  5. Re: A few questions about photo store processing

All the new printers scan the film, so negative or positive is not a problem, it is the size of the film that is the problem. I think all the processors are using traditional paper and materials,...

    Re: Pets/Animals in LF

The only way I can get my dog to pose is when she is asleep, and she is not that interesting when sleeping. Perhaps I should focus on the cats for awhile.

Re: Wind Farms - Before pictures

Interesting discussion. Turbines kill birds by collisions and the change in air pressure around the blades causes a bats lungs to explode. They are also an eyesore in your neighborhood. There is...

    Re: LF in the movies

Speed graphics are in tons of movies. For some reason the flash bulbs always make noise. I don't remember the few flash bulbs I've used making that noise, only blinding light.

    I love the scene...

  15. Re: Why do you shoot medium format with your 4x5" equipement ?

    1) Expense
    2) Convenience - easier to load and carry in the field especially hand held shots
    3) Not every subject needs to be enlarged to billboard size
