Finally, a thread I can post in! :-0

One of my first lith prints. Done on an 8x10 Tachihara, with a Rodenstock 210mm, if I remember rightly....
I'm sure most will recognize this church, at least the west coast people. :D
One of my first 8x10 shots, this is a scan of a contact lith print, selenium/gold toned.
Now that's a good, capitalist idea! :D
Hi, my name is Paul. I'm a man, and I can think about more than one thing at once.
Another beautiful shot, Gregg! Love the gradations in the water.
Humble pie? I thought they said it was cake...
Beautiful, Gregg!
Thanks for the update, Preston! I'm glad I'm headed to Seattle.
Geez, at least this problem was man-made, so to speak...

Ah, the National Parks. What a great place...
Sheesh, Yosemite's having a tough August...

check out some parts of the pine barrens. Some great small river (Batsto and Mullica) shooting, birds, good mists off the cranberry bogs, lots to shoot.
This is exactly what I do as well. (alright, not 'exactly', the velcro is stuck onto the door frame with adhesive, it's only stapled to the cloth). Works fantastically well.
Chris, those really are some amazing shots. Beautiful country, I've got to get there sometime.
Well John, now you have your drink 'on the rocks'. :)

I'm sure they'll have the guests back in their rooms in no time.
:) Looking good, Gregg. I love the clouds in yours.
Both with an Osaka 4x5, on Ektachrome100VS, with a Rodenstock 150mm Sironar-N.
First is Emigrant Gap from the pulloff on I-80, second is Lake Tahoe from Emerald Bay overlook.
Frank, I just saw this. Don't know if JetBlue does your preferred city in Europe, but I think they fly out of JFK and EWR.

HA! I don't print via inkjet, so there. nyah nyah.
Inkjet photograph, Inkjet photograph, inkjet photograph!
Iceland Air used to be the cheapest I'd ever found, but I don't know what it's like now. The flights would go through Reyjavik (sp?) and on to Amsterdam or Copenhaven. I'm sure British Airways will...
I think Pablo has done us a great community service. I can think of no finer argument than his in this thread to prove that drugs are bad...umkay?
First to last, Mesquite Dunes, Death Valley, Valley of Fire state park, Nevada, and a patio shot. All on Nikon D100
Forgot to mention these are both on Fotospeed Lith paper with LD20, 25:25:1000 with 40ml of old brown.
I lith print every size neg from 35mm to 8x10. There's a definite difference in graininess, though I don't know that it's enough to really worry about. Here's a lith of an 8x10 contact print (the...
Bosaiya, if you can post a pic of the lens there's a good chance someone here will recognize it and tell you what it is. Not me, of course...but someone. :)
You're right Donald. As usual I'm thinking upside down. :)
Aperture diameter divided by focal length. A 25mm aperture opening on a 50mm lens would be f2. (really f 1/2, but the numerator is usually dropped)
Or is the lens you have a barrel lens with no...
If you're using f1.4 or f2 you're clearly not looking to get a deep depth of field. If you're looking for a sharp plane of focus with a lot of oof areas then shooting the 210 Sironar at 5.6 would do...
Fly into Albuquerque, rent a car, buy a good map, and have fun. Any direction you drive in will give you pleasure.
This is simply outstanding. Absolutely beautiful. Just, wow.
Welcome to the asylum. It doesn't really matter which 4x5 you get, as it's just a stepping stone to 8x10, and then 11x14. :)
Thanks Tom! I'm looking forward to participating. I'm in Roseville NE of Sacramento, but I don't mind driving. I'll be spending some time looking for places to suggest.
Paul
Hmm, looks interesting. I just signed up.

Early attempt at Bromoil. Loving the process, just wish I had more time.
From a recent trip to the Columbia Gorge area. All are scans from prints.
oh, also. You must stop and see Multnomah Falls on Rt. 84 about 1/2 hour east of Portland.
Just to let you know, I just drove up to Hood River (White Salmon, WA, really) from Sacramento, via Klamath Falls and the National Lava bed Park. While I didn't stop in the park due to rain, it looks...
