RC paper is great for paper negatives, but it isn't archival, fiber is. As far as the sensitivity of the paper, not an issue. ASA 4-7 of paper is more than enough on a fully sunny or partially cloudy...

nice info - print package is a feature of photoshop that really should have been included in a regular install of photoshop CS4. It shouldn’t be as difficult as it is to find and install.
I find that ON1 is more fun, and also easier to use at times than Photoshop. I am a very experienced PS user, but find myself using PS less and less for photo enhancement, and use it more as a design...

You are making sure to use "film with film holder" in the settings, correct?
VueScan normally reads and writes the ICC profile for the scanner using the file scanner.icc. IT8 targets are included with many scanners.
Photoshop CS6 might probably the tool you are looking for. It can generate 32000 pixels wide panorama output and is able to work in batch. Stitching single panoramas is a breeze.
