Thanks for the comments - makes sense now that I think about it.

The Massive Dev Chart site has helped me a lot over the years and I was wondering if anyone has found anything similar for paper developers and papers.

Looks good Jim - thanks for posting.
Like you mentioned, I've found my 3D printer to be useful for lots of things like odd size lens caps, lens storage boxes, lens boards etc but other stuff as...
Thanks for clearing that up for me Michael - good explanation
All the best
Dave
Sorry to drag up an old thread - just saw it now while trying to sort out a washing question.
I'm still learning my way around printing and came across this disclaimer for the Formulary Residual...
Not sure if I understand exactly so sorry if I'm off base with this. I wanted some 4x5 tubes that held a bit more developer than the BTZS tubes handled so I made up some with ABS. Here's the thread...
Which batteries are you using for your V Ricardo?
Thanks Arne - great summary. Does anybody know if commercial freight gets similar treatment or is it just public travel? I haven't seen anything but I wonder if suppliers are at any risk if they...
Very cool - congratulations. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Nice to see more and more people coming back to film - especially when they can bring DIY solutions like this.

I'm with Corran on that. By definition, a 120mm lens focal length lens focused at infinity is 120mm. Focusing on anything closer than that requires you to increase not decrease the bellows so...
First step would be to try it. Would be interesting to hear your experiences please.

Interesting thread - looking forward to the original
I am fortunate enough to own a 3D printer. I originally bought it to construct some plate holders for my 4x5 glass negatives but since then, I've used it for custom lens caps, boxes and lens boards...
This was a response to Torontoamateur's question but yes - he is here as Bob Carnie. One of his web sites is this one.

Maybe contact Bob Carnie in Toronto - he might know of someone
Good source Bob, thanks. I was having some issues with the ones I'd been ordering elsewhere so this would have helped. Looks like they have a Canadian reseller as well and from their site it looks...
I find I use my 3D printer a lot for photography related items. It all started with Jason Lane's glass plates. I couldn't find any plate holders for them so I designed my own and printed off a...

Hi Michael
I have a similar challenge getting chemicals here in Fort McMurray. Choices are limited but I've had good service from The Camera Store in Calgary.

Hi
The problem seems to be with private messages. I just tested it now with this thread and it's ok - I get the the same two-tab panel that ic-racer shows. I've used it often before with no...
Not sure what changed - last week I had the option to post an image from my computer but today I only had the "Post from URL" option. Am I missing something?
Thanks for your help
Dave
Thanks d.s.
I do have a couple of voltage regulators kicking around but I was curious about adapting this Omega one as some have suggested. If there's an adapter cable for six prong to 3 prong...
Hi ic-racer
I was actually following up on Greg Blank's post (see above). He references a cord Omega provided for connecting to a condenser lamp that I was curious about.

Hi ic-racer
Not sure what happened but my reply disappeared - odd. Anyway, yes - I do have the 120v lamp that I can plug into the timer. I currently use an RH Designs StopClock Pro that I'm...
Thanks Greg. No, a cable to plug the enlarger into the stabilizer didn't come with it. I've looked online but haven't been able to find any reference to one so far - would you know of a part...
Thanks Bill - what you say makes sense and I think you're right - this unit is not for me. I didn't get any history when I purchased the enlarger but I suspect it has somehow got lumped in at some...
Thanks for responding so quick.
I do have the desk lamp plugged into the safelight socket as per photog_ed's comment but I can't see anywhere else that the enlarger would plug into. The other...
I'm having a bit of trouble figuring this out though so hopefully someone here can help.
When I purchased my enlarger a couple of years ago, the previous owner included a complete Omega...
With regards to Photoline, I was looking for an editor that let me work in Grey Gamma 2.1 for Piezography. Someone mentioned that Photoline did so I sent an email last week to confirm. Kudos to...
I recently picked up a used Ademco 2226. Actually, picked up is a figure of speech since they're not a small machine. I think it weighs around 300 lb and ended up having to break it down into three...
So my book just arrived yesterday and I managed to get a quick peak before my wife wrapped it and put it under the tree. I just want to say congratulations and thanks Denise. The book is amazing -...
Hi Reinhold
Thanks for the tips and links. I'll definitely have a look for that anti-static brush. Once again - very impressive work.
All the best
Dave
Reinhold - very impressive and thanks for sharing. How do you manage to get such clean negatives (as in no dust)?. I'm still learning film but my limited experience with night shots (4x5 Ilford...
Hi Denise
Thanks very much for the suggestion and I'd really appreciate your offer to speak with them. I buy my film and darkroom chemicals from The Camera Store now and their shipping is...
Ordered - Loved your first book and looking forward to this one. Thanks for putting all the effort in. I struggle here in Canada to source everything - particularly considering the shipping costs...
Thanks Steven - That's kind of what I've been seeing, PS makes it easy. As for alternatives though, I haven't found one yet. I'll have a look at Rawtherapee
Hi Ted
Thanks for the input. From the Piezography manual - Grayscale Management Section 5, ""The Piezography curves expect a Gamma 2.20 input file" and later "Piezography can only be used with...
I've been trying to confirm this (see my thread yesterday) but from what I can see so far, Photoshop is the only one that lets you set the working space to Gray Gamma 2.2. My reasons are similar to...
