    Bob,
Can you tell me what you mean by the line highlighted in blue?
Also, can you show a screen shot of what the curve in red might look like.

I'm just rushing at the moment so forgive me if my answer doesn't address your problem. These pics are running through the steps described. The histogram looks poor on the 3rd image but when scan is...

    Re: Vuescan clipping

    You need to
    1) Preview with no individual frames selected
    2) select as much of the interframe film base as you can and select "Lock Exposure" then Preview again
    3) Now you can select "Lock Film...

Yes, that would be great. It's always good to get some insider info. Perhaps you've some bear spray we could borrow? :D We bought some whilst in Yellowstone but gave it to a guy in a climbing store...

Thanks again chaps. I was fairly familiar with the Lightroom 3 demo and some of the Elements versions, and Capture NX2 is a very versatile PP program with its own version of Layers so I should be...

Re: Getting Lots of Green in Scans

Somehow I managed to miss these two posts the other day. Thanks for them. It's looking like I ought to consider Photoshop. The trouble is I'm so out of touch with that side of digital I don't even...

Well, it's perhaps a slight improvement, certainly in terms of time, but it's still not perfect. :( I've posted it here

    Any input welcome. :)

    Epson Scan - A Workflow

I thought I'd describe how I am, as a relative novice, scanning at the moment. I described my Levels technique here. Amongst the drawbacks to that method are :

    1) There are often no black,white...

Re: Getting Lots of Green in Scans

Re: Getting Lots of Green in Scans

No worries. There's surprisingly little stuff on the net about scanning. Watch this space though, I think I've worked out something much much quicker and more reliable with Epson scan.
