I saw this video this week. Very nice. Would you believe that the "old guard" who did the ad promotions for the Alberta tourism, were not allowed to show case the rocky mountains!(feared Alberta was...
Very tactile prints! I really appreciate them for the feeling I'm left with. Thank-you Gandolfi.

I like taking flowers as the sun is going down. The bounced light off the sky is enveloping. I also find that the breeze drops at this time which helps for long exposures....
Yes, its the PS945. Most of the expression I think is one of disappointment because I "ask for one more" one too many times. I may have to have a bigger piece of chocolate next time.
Thanks Ken, I agree, a frame is something that I added to my version, but I just posted the straight image.
And to the blemishes, yes. I believe that the finished print will reflect that. I tend to...
Thank-you Mark and Jim! I think portraits of people is why man invented the camera. I reflect deeply upon the person in the image and, for a moment, I'm carried away.
Hi welcome, if you are north of Red Deer drop me a line.
Of all my tools in my bag the only one that worked with Anya was chocolate!

I use a 6 section tent poles of equal length. 2 up, 2 across, and 2 down. The two down stick in the dirt and pushed down until the frame is firm. Then some pony clamps to hold the black cloth taught....

My goal last season was to not pull my subject out of my garden. Just an applebox to sit on.
Sorry Tony for the delay getting back. I went to Calgary and Drumheller for a commercial project. This later this week (being Thursday 3, and Friday 4) my routine has been mixed up with teachers...
Sounds great and welcome! Would the first week in March work? 6-9pm?
Thank-you bobwysiwyg,
For the backdrop I used a heavy black (dense is a better word) velvet and folding type tent poles. The tent poles were a replacement kit, complete with the thin bungee. The...

I can't complain when Winterpeg is the option. Lucky me, its going to get warm (-3!! in January!!) this week so a good time to book your West Jet flight here. And for those of you thinking this is...
No date has been set. With the previous number of responses the last time I posted this, I thought it would be safest to leave it open until interest is there.
And the probability that there will...

Anybody interested in Edmonton, Alberta that would like to exchange ideas and promote LF users? I have a suitable studio for informal gatherings and art making.
A number of members have mentioned X-tol failure and/or bad packaging, I'm in this camp from personal experience, and that is last time I used the developer . I could not find a comfort zone on a...
Welcome! Enjoy your creative journey through the photographic medium of film.

Very nice images and thank-you for sharing. I look forward to more posts from you. Angkor-wat has been one on my to do list for some time now.
This is an invitation to all those in Alberta Canada (open of course to world wide photographers that are in this neck of the woods) for a social gathering at the beginning of April in Edmonton. The...
Any more workshops planned in Edmonton Alberta, maybe with a dinner? This is a little late but I was trolling old posts and came across the first mention on LF and Edmonton in the same sentence. I...
You may also consider going to a gun shop and picking up a spotting scope or rifle scope flip cap. I found one that threads onto the interior of my Pentax digital spot and has a spring flip cap. Be...
What size of an area are you wanting to illuminate and to what shooting stop? Full body or faces?
I had no problems in 2004. And felt completely safe. Try to be at Macchu Picchu after the last train for cusco. A lot less people milling about with guides. That means staying in Aquas Calinete (may...
I went with the Lee system, I also have the UV step rings to dedicated for each lens. I don't have a problem with lens accessibility. I did however get the LEE Filters Lens Hood - Standard - with TWO...
I have the exact model purchased in the fall of 2008 and it is a 5 out of 10 stars. It does not take 220 film, if you try to test that fact it ends up scratching the base through the paper backing...
Hello Graham,
Welcome.
Canmore is beautiful anytime of year, and that is said from my current prairie view Edmonton. Good luck in your journey in LF, and more importantly, in your art making...
