I have a couple hundred rolls of the last batch of Kodak HIE that I am selling to fund the purchase of a leica m8. If you are interested I can be reached at steve@beyertribe.com. I am asking $18 a...
  2. Re: About X-ray scans of international shipment.

I just shipped some film from the USA to Canada. I asked the Fedex people and they assured me they do not x-ray. I hope this helps. I believe that the US post office has to x-ray since they use...

    Re: Kurland Photo

    Hi Ted,

I would recommend this dealer. I have purchased a few Leica items from him over the years. Each was a pleasant experience.

  5. Re: Are you kidding me? Really, a little steep for my tastes...

To be honest it seems to be a good deal. They would probably move faster if they sold them individually. These are the cadillac of lens boards and they are gorgeous to boot.

Re: 80mm Super Symmar- SN's to avoid

It maybe a bit harder than you think since they are not selling directly to the customer. It might be a bit harder hitting up the distrubters and then the dealers who may or maynot really have the...

  9. Re: Do you install a UV filter on your LF lenses?

    Generally No,

I do not add a filter to any lens that I have unless I can see a potential danger that would suggest its use. (Salt Water Spray - Blowing Sand) I use the John Shaw approach to...
  10. Can you really use a 80mm lens on a Ebony SU?

I would like to know if any users here are using an Schneider 80XL or shorter on their Ebony 4x5SU. I am especially interested in reality of movements on a flat lens board with the standard bellows....

Re: Could you shoot this idea apart

Robert A point well noted and appreciated. If you do this right you only have to buy it once. A few bucks more in the long run are not a big problem to justify

Re: Could you shoot this idea apart

Oh Gosh, I get to take the first shot. I am also going to add a Nikon 200M so the range between the 150 and 300 is not that bad. :-)

Could you shoot this idea apart

I Am trying to amass the equipment that I need to get back into equipment. I am probably going to buy new to save me from any new horrors on board but I may run down to MPEX and give them a looky.

Re: Let's Vote!!! Only one wide lens, 75 or 90?

I think I am getting to the party late on this one but I would go with the 75. This seems to be the same question often discussed in the 35mm world as the 20 vs 24 debate. I have been on the 20mm...
