I got a Nova tent second hand for much less than retail, it is worth looking.
Seems reasonable - at about £30 each they will alas probably be resold individually rather than kept as a collection.
I have just walked in off the street and bought stuff from them, no problem at all, so I don't think it should be a problem.
Yes, with a 90mm the alignment needs to be even more accurate. The depth of focus at the film is even smaller. So you probably need to do it again even more accurately...
Antonio Gesmundo did that with flowers on type 55 - I have one of his prints

London at this time of year is very difficult. There were some lovely muted colour pictures on this forum a while back (can't find them right now) of woods and water though, that were quite inspiring...
If you use distilled water you shouldnt need photoflo or anything else. Would recommend trying nothing.
3D printers do work much like carbon printing in many cases, using a laser to harden a substance in some way (eg fusing a powder), so changing that to use a UV laser to harden treated gelatin is very...
I expect he would if you asked - the designs are a starting point for customization, and everythign is made to order.
Japan exposures says they are still available, and he usually updates fairly accurately.

I used to visit the Barco factory fairly often, they also used to make radios. They didnt make the lenses though, not sure where they came from....
The one I have (half plate glass negative) looks like it was done at home.

Unfortunately photographs are rarely published!
the 120 years figure came from Wikipedia: "works of unknown authors or where the author's death date is unknown are copyrighted until the shorter of...
Which country are you in?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Public_domain is a good summary. Negatives would not be published works, so for unknown author in the US these would be public...
Well on my screen (uncalibrated!) the Epson scan looks ok, might be an auto white balance setting perhaps, the garage door is very neutral white? The RA4 has a pink cast, while the third one has some...
It is hard to tell from that image, but it could well be a lith print...
Thanks for the book recommendation, have ordered it. Would love to have seen the exhibition.
No as pointed out above, it is a function of the subject distance and the print viewing distance. You can renormalise the distortions of nose and eye size by viewing at the corresponding distances.
I had horrible problems with scratches cutting down Efke. All other films I have used have been fine... so I can see a case for the manufacturer doing this...
The glass plate thickness is usually about 2mm.
How close are you focussing and how long is the lens? You could try taking a picture of something receding, and mark on it where you focussed and...
What settings are you using? If the highlights are blown out, that definitely suggests you are not using the dont do anything at all to my image settings. I dont have it in front of me, but there is...
Where do you get 13x18 colour from? I couldnt find any last time I looked.
There is also an iphone app, which is not cheap (cheaper than a real one, more expensive than a wire frame!) but might work for you, except for very wide lenses. It lets you set which lenses you have...
There were 4x5 backs and bellows, but not really what they were best at. Though if someone offered me a 45 back for mine I would consider it...
Very suspicious, you dont get a lot of ULF Deardorff's in this country (uk). Nor is Craigslist big here, it has only really taken off in US. I suspect he saw this conversation and pulled out...
The Graphic-Kowa and Computar 150mm f9 have an IC of 290mm, as well as being tiny.
Japan has two frequencies, which is very odd - they bought half their equipment from Europe and the other half from the US.
Talking of electricity and large format, I really like Christopher...
Robert White have always been good for getting the Arca Swiss stuff, if it is not in stock they will order it, although it takes some time as Arca Swiss are not quick...
I just used the long Arca plate with two 1/4 screws and two 3/8 to 1/8 adaptors...
Whats the FP100B that Fuji uk list? http://www.fujilab.co.uk/catalog/fujifilm-fp100b-inch-gloss-instant-film-sheet-pack-p-730.html appears to be 100ASA black and white. Does that fit in the PA-45?...
Er, there is one new lens for 8x10 in the last 10 years, the Schneider Apo-Tele-Xenar 360mm f11. As a second lens with say the Fuji 240 its quite a useful option...
Who is shooting 14x14? Unusual format...
Not saying there is no half plate film, but it is all available in 5x7 too. Acros was never made in 5x7, only half plate... will order some half plate fp4 in the ULF order...
They just discontinued the half plate Acros which I was using in my 5x7 camera. No other real use for half plate filmholders now...
Hi, another LFer in London. I reckon there are actually quite a few now, there have been a few introductions in recent months...
Its under half the price of TMY-2 in this country... I may experiment with it for portraits actually and see.
I am thinking about 4x10 and it is a bit confusing which of those two models makes more sense, as one suggests longer lenses than the other as more common. My widest lens that covers in 150, but I...
Dark Side appears alas to have closed a couple of weeks ago as far as I can see. Pity.
Silverprint is now listing this in 4x5 and 8x10. Anyone tried it?
