Hi Bob...I used one of those on an 555ELD for years, and found a sliding-back adapter from China on eBay for about $350 to mount to my Sinar P2. Works great still today with a different back. Allows...
After many years of creatively enjoying my Leaf Aptus-65 on both Sinar & Hassy platforms...it appears that upgrade time will soon arrive.
I'm soliciting input:....impressions...opinions...and...
I remember posting this many moons ago....but since I don't see it included here....I'll upload another!
My trusted P-2 and I go everywhere together...sometimes getting lost...always finding a...
Yes, Leaf-Aptus...not swinging...use rise-fall + shift via an adapter plate a lot like the RhinoCam, as well as focus-stacking. HDR is like focus-stacking, only using exposure settings.....and...
Stitching is like any other technique...it's a skill....like using camera movements...or a light meter. I use a professional lab in Salem, Oregon, USofA (PhotoVision) for digital refinements...
I'd love to know more about that sensor....can you share??
IMHO...find a good used a Schneider Makro-Symmar 180mm...you'll never "look" back!
Yes....Indeed! You'll enjoy this addition to your workflow. In fact, that sliding-back adapter also allows you to make minor shifts in-bellows without using the major-axis shifts of the P-movements....
I bought a Leaf Aptus-65 for under $10K....a sliding back adapter and loupe for $350+$150...and have been stretching my P-2 wings ever since. I keep my eyes open for opportunities to upgrade......!...
For taking advantage of larger image circle coverage, and range of camera movements. I can compose more accurately with the extra room in bellows that 4x5 provides over MF. I also use the ability to...
My Dear Sweet P-2.....digi-compromised.
And image....
We also travel together in a LowePro....at my age, quite a feat!
She never fails me.
I, her, though.....
THANK YOU, Tim & Team...for all your hard work...your planning...your considerations...your execution...your analysis. Wonderful! We will all, in our own ways, use your work as a reference...and...
Ivan...I'm a great admirer of your work. I used to trek like you when I was younger...but without your patience. There's lot of technical jargon tossed around here...and each of us (I'm pretty...
I've pondered the same dilemma. I'm shooting with a Leaf Aptus-65 on a P-2, meaning total eye-strain to focus properly. BUT...running the sensor in "shutter-open-live-view" means battery...
OK...curiosity has me in its throes!
WHAT is it?
And HOW does it?
I've been shooting for more than 40-years. First 35mm, then 2-1/4, and now LF (albeit with a digital back...so the hard-cores will smirk a bit....). I use them all inter-changeably.
All three have...
Eric,
Pretty cool! Are you focusing only once? And then swapping lens positions?
Same neg, yes? And "rooms-of-camera" close to negative plane, yes?
Great creativity!
Hank
George is a reputable dude, so send him an email (apogeebee@hotmail.com) and see what he says.
SK Grimes is a great source of help...solid...consistent...reasonable.
I've purchased lens for 35mm, MF and LF from KEH for more than 20-years. Every one of the LF lenses came with a retaining ring. A few did not have caps, even though the description listed them with...
