IMHO would choose FP4. Although not tabular grain, has very nice tone scale and good sharpness, I use it with Willi Beutler .

I am not proud about my knowledge in optics.
Many years ago I bought a D2, it came with 2 ľ” cone. I used it with 150mm lens for good time, until having bought from Harry Taylor a 4 ˝” cone.
What...
Yes, it works with flat lensboard.
I have that camera and a 90mm Rodenstock; no problem.
Is there something good made in China ?????????
Who can believe on that ?????
Nicolai, excellent job/idea. Useful for many. Congratulations.
Bossreen does not resist to temperatures above 30 C . Bubbles will be formed inside .
alec said all.
Both (roll and sheet film) will last for a time greater than our lives.
"...smaller than 4x5 be allowed ? "
If so, let's change the name of the forum to SMALLER FORMAT PHOTOGRAPHY .
One more reason to forget Kodak (and with pleasure).

Thank you for the answers.
Well, it means that it will fit on my Linhof Color.
Right ?
Please could somebody say if the roll film back Singer Graflex (RH10) is Graflok type ?
Thanks

Film is not dead, you are . (almost)
Velvia 50 again, very very very good news.
For cost comparison of analog x digital it is necessary to compute the cost of a computer work station (hardware/software) for that purpose, and not only the camera cost. A digital camera is a...
I've made some tests with these papers for someone here in Sao Paulo who is going to import them. I found excellent papers . They were : Fomaspeed SP312 RC Matt, SP311 RC Glossy, N313 RC Lustre.
I recommend '' The New Zone System Manual '' ( White, Zakia and Lorenz ) . Detailed instructions for 35mm, 120 and large format.

As far as you know, does it mean some hope for film/photopaper/photochemical products ?
IMO you already use the best for that purpose. Velvia 50 has resolution and color saturation similar to old Kodachrome. It has been my favorite for years.
Presently there is no technical reason for not using RC papers. The problem with whitener was solved several years ago with anti oxidant. So, it is only a matter of personal taste. I like them very...
Quimby,
I use 4x5 because we don't have here where I live ( Sao Paulo, Brasil ) 8x10 stuff. For me bigger is better (always).

Great stupidity of french authorities. It means Bin Laden friends can only make their plans with hand held cameras.

Thanks a lot. I'll follow your orientation.
I have a Linhof Color, basically a Technika IV mounted on a monorail. When I raise the front std there are two locations it doesn't stop, it falls some milimiters. As this camera doesn't have a lock...
"...one that just came out of my Epson 2200..."
Jon
Sincere congratulations. You've done something very hard to get.

As you can see there are many options for that. I think the best is aluminum , I have some made with it but, at least in my case, I've needed to ask for a machinist with adequated skill and...
I doubt that Adams and Weston , after decades of experience, researching, tuning an retuning their work, would embrace a technique with inferior quality than that they practiced. High definition (bw)...
Does anybody know the meaning of "K" and "M" printed on envelopes of Ilford enlarging papers? Ex.: Ilfobrom grade 3 "3.1 K" ; Multigrade IV "2.5 M" . Thanks
I think Mr Salomon could say something about that.
And he (Clyde) says he prints on a archival LexJet paper. Something printed with ink/dyes can be considered archival ?
Buy the Omega. Very very very much satisfaction AND QUALITY. "3)... in a few years may disappear" : That won't happen.
Please, does anybody know which is the principle of a light trap on lens board ? Is it to prevent light leak through the hole or through the edges of the lens board ? Thanks
Hogarth
It's not Velvia. It's Kodachrome, 70 years ago.
" ... We all want to Powerpoint ... " (John Bailey)
John, we WHO ?
To this classic question I would like to point something about "needs". Somebody needs or not better tonal range, sharpness, graininess, resolution, movements, composition (ground glass)etc ? Except...
I am 52. 1971:35mm; 1982:MF; 1998:LF
Bob, I make lensboards for my cameras using aluminum and more recently using fenolite. I have never concerned about that "light trap ring" you mention also in other past post. I haven't had any...
