It did take a long time! No color yet but I only wanted the black and white
I got an email BW polaroid is back in stock!
I have sold quite a bit of equipment. However, the 8 x 10 stays until the end!
Hi Bill, You would probably have to explain to me how to remove the inflection a small format camera and wide angle lens creates. Whereas with a large format camera it is simply removed by the rear...
here is the latest information on the Lodima paper:

You probably can use the film at EI 100 with pyrocat - though your tests will prove the best speed. I use TF3 for fix.
here are 2 paper files from ABC and pyrocat negs read in blue mode
I do not use a JOBO and tray develop. Like Ron I have always had good results. I'd try developing one negative in a tray. I think that can tell you if the developer is OK. Then go from there.
Hi Allen,
Typically you can use the blue reading or set the machine for vis (visual mode). Typical base and fog is 0.04 to 0.06 and speed would be 0.1 over. Have we overdeveloped our film?
50 for ABC pyro, 100 for pyrocat HD, 80 HC110
I use a large dark cloth for my 8 x 10, and 7 x 17. I attach to camera with binder clips.
I have one for 8 x 10. I always carry film holders in another sack. I have not had any problems with mine. It does the job - I can't say its a great sack. I'll second the speedy stitcher - I've had...
Hi GPS,
Yes its a magnet. Made more for a shop than a kitchen, but Little Mama does not mind.
Here is my 250 grams barn door shade. I ended up using 1/32 inch garolite for the panels. I found I can use on my RB67 also. Notice the small front flaps that are needed for the longer lenses.

not usually after sunrises, but could not resist this one, bad scan too
I do not own a digital camera. I have thought about getting one to photograph my 7 x 17s and other contact prints for display. Thought about it.
I have a company issued point and shoot on the...
I just placed my order! Great news!!! I encourage photographers who have not used AZO to try it! Though I primarily use 8 x 10 I have contact prints in 4 x 5 that work well also.

And a foot switch routing my lamp through my timer using the timer as a metronome. I also just picked up a gen purpose relay to shut off my HID lamp via my timer for alt process.
vacuum frame
I never had good luck using pencils, but I do use a couple of dyes (black and red). You will have to look for old stock or closing photography shops because as far as I know there is no dye for that...
GPS,
thanks for your reply

Hi GPS,
Not sure I follow you on this. I attached a drawing (originally from autocad). The magenta lines show the angle of view to be smaller at 17 inches draw versus 15 inches. I realize the...
Not really. I put one on a 7 x 17 and measured the circle of illumination. I never wrote down the dimensions as I had already concluded it did not. One can get a photograph with it but there is no...
Hi Dan,
I just picked up a set at Home Depot that will work if I do not find something better. Now I have to figure how to cut a 3" hole in the garolite.
I am looking for some very small aluminum or plastic positioning hinges. I am getting a couple samples from ABC plastics but have yet to find anything similiar elsewhere. I would prefer to find...
Here are some photos of my prototype. The images show the camera with 17" bellows draw. I was focused indoors and camera set with max rise of 3 inches. I was pleased to see the final position of the...
I never liked the base tilt on the front standard. After using my field camers and then use the F1, I can never remember how to use the base tilt procedure.
Hi Dan,
I'll probably use an epoxy. If it works on ABS plastic I hope it will work on the garolite (roughed up with sandpaper). I am going to try to epoxy the garolite to the hinge.
Phil
HI Robert,
Thanks for chiming in. I have read your article. I use series IX lens shades and have always know they are a compromise device. I do intent to have a 4 sided device. I am going to try...
Hi Dan,
Thanks for the photos. How did you cut the slots for the fins?
Do you think the 1/32" garolite would be too thin?
phil
From image 3, I have concluded dimension 1 could be 6 inches and dimension 3 - 4 inches.
Image 4 allows me to decide on 5 inches for dimension 3. I could use 4 inches but that is too close to the...
Hi Chris,
Looks like a good material, a little salty. Maybe a matboard prototype to figure exact dimensions.
Greetings,
I have decided to try and make a "barn-door" lens shade for 7 x 17. I would like some input on my ideas and the materials. I recently made a series IX adapter from a 3" ABS cap and...
I always work out of my f64 bag, car or trail. My problem is carrying the Ries. I'd like to make padded strap because I just carry it by hand.
