Great work everybody!
I have not been on this great site in ages...
Thought I would post this shot taken with a 4x5 Sinar a few years back: Washington Native American with really old family...
I think a large part of whether to decide to use one of these systems or not is the volume of photos you are dealing with. If you a shooter that needs to put a bunch of images quickly then these...
Take a look at the Wordpress boards. There are user add-ons and gallery scripts that many find worthwhile. A lot of people look for different things so one size does not fit all. In general I find...
Chris, the president of Shared Ink, has been great with email responses to my questions...
I am going to try Shared Ink. Signed up for the 45 day trial for the "Photographers Service" etc. The sizes are different so I need to figure the easiest method of making the pages shrink slightly...
Interesting thread.
Last year I did a book with Fastbackbooks. It was an expensive, time consuming project. At the time I did some digging into all the print on demand options. I think we are in...

Colin,
Shoot you down? Why? Some great points there...
Photography is not always about the result. Quite often it is about the experience of the photographic outing. A fews back I visited some...
Hmmm,
I read this and think he makes great points. But I did not get that he thinks "Flash sites are the best sites..."
I think his main points point to avoiding "misplaced cleverness and...
Does it really matter that the images need to shout "taken with a large format camera"???? All we see here are compressed jpegs anyway.
What is missing in this discussion is that we have a young...

Doug,
Nice photos but the site has some issues...
* There is just a ton of ugly code and tables to generate the home page.
* A white box appears while the Flash graphic loads. Maybe just use...
I wont go into all that has been said before...
* Nice pictures!
* I like the frames around the photos as an intro but the appeal gets lost after a few images. All that border and frame elements...
Jeremy,
Sorry, I checked again. I see no images using Safari 2.04 on a Mac with DSL... Clicking on the TCP, Japan or ToyCameras links works but all I get is is the white box. No images.
But...
It all depends on what you need and what your comfort level is with doing the work yourself. The Simpleviewer type template is easy to use but there are a million pages out there that use the same...
A nice Busch Pressman D might be just the ticket. They have some nice features which made me alter my search from the Graphics...
Thanks Jim!
This is a nice rap-up of the ceremony honoring Marcel......
Using the search function on the Cameras and Camera Accessories category will yield instant #@^#$ results...

45 Seconds - That was how long I got to photograph the legendry French...
Frank, its a great shot. I would kick that photo around to some magazine editors. Its visually striking, would look great on a cover. Its different, hot as hell, without all that phony over styled...
Frank,
I am not wild about ALL you work, but I love that last photo, girl in the water, great shot!!!

Nice looking camera Frank. I guess swapping for a cracking good Pentax K1000 is out of the question...
Frank,
What camera is that in the third photo? The one with the umbrella in the background...
He is using PHP to deliver his site in different languages...
There are lots of them.
I like this guy's site. Its all clean, direct Strict XHTML and CSS:
No tables, no cells, no frames, no flash, no sound, no computer game like "interactivity"...

Good Lord!!! That is just awesome!!!
For years we had the browser wars. Mainly Netscape vs Internet Explorer. Thank God for folks like Jeffrey Zeldman and the Web Standards Project. If it was not for these guys we would have a lot more...

Developing sites for handheld devices is a mystery for most (including me.) The idea behind this is not so much with CSS but with proper markup: Web Standards code. Using the correct doctype and...
