  1. Re: Share your experience with Elwood 8x10 enlarger please

Because of their age, these things come in every condition from junk to excellent. Price sounds high and I would make sure of not making a long drive for nothing, any lenses included? Mine is the...
  2. Re: Share your experience with Elwood 8x10 enlarger please

It is easy to align, I built a 2x8" frame to hold the enlarger and a seperate plywood table to hold the easel. The manual has alignment instructions. I make lens boards from plywood.
  3. Re: Share your experience with Elwood 8x10 enlarger please

    Poll: Re: Enlarging from 8x10

My Elwood and I take that as an insult, it's much bigger and heavier than a Pinto! Its more like a Model A Ford sedan and it's in my basement and working perfectly.

    Angulon exposure compensation

Ansel Adams describes this problem and the solution in "The Camera" page 66. To sum it up briefly a light meter is used to measure light on the ground glass as the lens is stopped down.

    pt/pd light box

I built my light box 2 years ago and use BL tubes. They work well, my normal exposure time is 8-10 minutes which allows for leisurely burning or dodging. A good printing frame is helpful.
