Thanks Guys,
a bit more info, the 110 Polaroid I've used has the flip up viewfinder and wire frame which I've kept. Only issue with that setup is that it isn't wide enough for the 150mm on 6 x 17,...
Hi Guys,
I've built a 6 x 17 using a Polaroid 110 as the chassis. I'll do a write up once I've got a few details finished.
Anyway just looking for any experience with the various viewfinders -...
Copal shutter - They do that
I actually just got a lens from the same seller, Fujinon 150 CM W, copal shutter - it does the same thing
Hi Guys,
Impulse buy on ebay I got an APO Ronar 480 f9 thikng it would be a direct fit into a Copal #3 shutter.

If you don't have a micrometer, in this case a depth Micrometer, then the film is exactly 3/16" or 4.74mm from the outside face of the holder.
So the ground glass should be recessed by precisely the...

IIRC there's a long and detailed post in LFF about this very subject, it explains the necessity of the reflective light as it forms the first part of the calibration routine, otherwise without it the...
Yes a big shout out to J.B. Harlin (I can't find his first name anywhere on his site)
If he's not a contributor here already he should get the honorary doctorate equivalent just for that bellows...
FYI the Epsons and the other large format printers using Epson print heads, Mimaki, Mutoh & Roland, all have native resolutions based around 360 DPI.
The heads have the nozzles spaced at either...

There is a helpful PDF available at this site

Thanks Jim, much appreciated
I did a search for pneumatic cloth and came up trumps with a local business. I'm contacting them tomorrow to see where it leads
peace out

Hi Lachlan
Just did some research on neoprene, I haven't yet located anything thin enough.
I can't be the only person to try and make their own camera bellows in Australia can I?

Just a quick word of caution, methyl alcohol can attack some plastics and remove plasticisers leading to crazing.
It's a polar solvent, thus it's easily mixed with water -miscible.
Naptha is...
Does anyone know of a source for suitable (opaque) bellows material in Australia, Sydney specifically.
peace out
Glenn
I got fancied once, unwantedly so, by a large hairy man - also called bears, whilst walking past a gay bar once
This is gold!
I have a photo somewhere of an ex-girlfirend that was a mistake...
Does that count?
Well make it easy on yourself and don't lick the film clean unless you're having trouble with your bowel movements
peace out
Yep that's an understandable confusion as kerosone is also parrafin, though kerosone doesn't go under that name in Australia.
It' parrafin BP (British Pharma - pharmaceutical grade) that you want,...
For wet mounting the pro drum scanner services use Parrafin, yep the stuff you get at the supermarket or chemist. It isn't a substitute - it's the real stuff
For cleanup - film/scanner glass etc get...
Hi Sorin,
I know this partially off topic, and it's great to see that you're generating income with the bellows and ground glass.
Have you considered making backs and ground glass holders in...
What is the sensitivity like?
I.E is it orthochromatic so that it can be used under a red safelight?
Thanks

I actually used to use Pagemaker on a PC, but the workflow to generate PDF's is almost identical to what you describe. No real reason for it to be otherwise.
Pagemaker itself ain't great, but then...
Hi Guys,
Happy to provide you with numbers if you can let me know what quantities and output sizes you are looking for.
The film format isn't so much a consideration as the file size from a...
Hi all,
I recently purchased a Screen DT-S1045AI and have spent the last five months getting up to speed in both mounting and scanning.
It's a very impressive piece of hardware, both in terms...

That's a good point, and it would work fine mounted straight - but the copal 1 shutter doesn't fit cleanly on the polaroid because of the struts that hold the front standard.
So it needs to be...
I'm finishing building something based upon the Polaroid 95B for a 6x17 rangefinder and want to use a Rodenstock Sinaron W in Copal 1.
Currently I have this lens/shutter in a re-purposed Mamiya...
I'd love to know any details you could share on the Toyo RB67. I used to have a Mamiya camera front mount attached Linhof Technika board, but my shutter cocking mechanism wasn't at all good.

OK I'm starting to get a clearer picture on all of this, I've had a look at the Canham film holder dimensions, and also at the pictures of the fotoman 4x10 holders, which are literally cut and glued...

OK good info on the name change and coverage, so if I want decent coverage on 6x17 without needing to go down to f22 - f32, what other options are there besides say a Schneider 165 SA, which would be...
