Beautiful, Peter! Great light, and a great image. What did the young ladies have to say about this?
Thomas, that is an excellent image! Love the composition, the colors, the light - everything.
Peter, that is an excellent image!
I love the stillness and the quiet mood conveyed by this photograph. Well done!
Beautiful, Bryan! I love early morning photos, but can never get up to shoot them.
Beautiful photograph of a beautiful puppy!
That's interesting. On Saturday evening when B&H started accepting online orders, the number of boxes had gone down to 75 or 76. So they either received more boxes, or some folks cancelled their...
I cannot give you a definitive answer, only what I have found works for me. I use a one stop exposure compensation when I use the center filter, which is almost all the time, except for night shots....
Congratulations, Richard! Looks like a great book, and it is on my list. I will wait for you to let us know if there is another purchase option, rather than Amazon.com, which will put more money into...
This is just beautiful! Well done, and please keep 'em coming!
Now down to 80.
Freestyle's website says "This item is currently out of stock. Approximate delivery date from vendor: Jan 06, 2012." If that is correct, there may be some stock somewhere in the supply chain.
Tom,
I would say that's a great find. And I love both the images. Well done!
At an estimated cost of $150.00 per 20-sheet box of 8x10 Acros, please count me in for at least two boxes.
I have a Charten camera which looks very similar to this one.
Thank you, Panoman617! I agree, the G617 is a great camera.
Beautiful image, Shane. I loved some of the other 6x17 images on your Flickr stream.
Thank you, Bob!
This photograph was made with a Fuji G617 (and Fujinon SW 1:8/105) on Velvia 50, which I usually rate at 40, as in this case.
I finally have a (lab) scanned 6x17 photograph that I can share. You can click on the image to see a bigger version (press "L" on the Flickr page).

I have used the B&W darkroom facilities at Print Space and would recommend them - good facilities, helpful and friendly staff, nice place all around. I have not processed film in their darkrooms, but...
S&S makes 5x12 holders, among other sizes.
Beautiful, beautiful colors, Jim! May I ask what film you used?
Another beautiful one, Donald. The quality of your work is exceptionally and consistently high.
I tend to look at it in the way that Jim and Richard do.
Jan, that's good to know. Thanks for the info. I have been considering the V750 after hearing a lot of good things about it.
Hi Bob,
Thanks a lot for the information! I was going to ask you how you scanned your 6x17 negs. :)
Best,
Sanjay
The Fuji G617 gets 4 on 120 and 8 on 220. To change between 120 and 220, you just need to flip a switch (for the counter) and reverse the pressure plate. No problems with frame spacing or the film...
Please don't get started again! I am enjoying the images in this thread... :)
Congratulations, Richard! If I make a trip to the Chicago area, I will definitely stop by at the show. I saw your images in VC magazine - lovely work.
Print Space's location is also nice - it's just a few blocks from Adorama and Calumet, where you can pick up paper and chems in case you need some at short notice.
They also let you bring in your...
'PAID member' is correct, sorry for my omission. I meant to say "subscriber".
That would be a good reason to like the square format! :)
I am a big fan of the square format, but I usually shoot 6x6 when I want that format, though I can think of one occasion when I cropped a 4x5 neg to print a square image. I agree with you, there is a...
JP, beautiful portrait of a very beautiful model!
Lovely photograph! Did you shoot this from the Manhattan side or the Bronx side?
I have no information to offer you about the CCNY, but I do use the rental darkroom services of Print Space. They are easily accessible via a short subway ride (#1 downtown train from Penn Station to...
Lovely tones, Wayne. Very nicely done!
I do not keep track of equipment prices, but I have seen this lens go for anywhere from $450 to $850 on this forum. The price depends on the condition, of course. You can do a quick search in the...
I love the texture of Bromportrait. I usually use that paper to print portraits, toned in selenium to get a warm toned print. You have made a beautiful print!
Lovely tones in that one, Rick.
Is that enough adventure for ya?! :D
Have fun, and be safe.
Scott, that's a very worthy contribution. Very nice portrait, like the others you've posted so far.
