A tessar design is also pretty sharp, so if you are looking for a bit of softness you should explore other lens designs. Check out what lenses are being used in landscape and portrait threads in...
I would emphasize that they are separate shots by framing them separately, without matboard, in four frames with a very thin lip (Nielsen Profle 34,...
Very nice! I'd have to say it reminds me of Bill Brandt's nudes...
I have to confess - this was not a mistake. I intentionally shot this fan in my window completely out of focus.

As a point of reference, Tillman Crane, longtime large format photographer, has switched entirely to digital capture, digital negatives and then platinum printing.

I had this in a document from when I owned a Rittreck:

Absolutely right. We're setting up a small community darkroom here in Maryland, and between getting everything from the local community college (they closed their darkroom) and donations through the...
I used to have an Eastman Kodak 5x7 autofocus enlarger, with reducing attachment. It was heavy cast iron that consisted of 3 parts that bolted together - the base, lower column, and upper column...
If I were to guess, I'd say that the stores closeby that sell locks will take it down, recycle it and put up a fresh fence for more locks...
Process 5x7 sheets in 8x10 trays. I can shuffle process 4 - 5 sheets at a time.

There is nothing inherently bad or wrong about push processing, which may be required due to intentional or inadvertent underexposure. Kodak describes it...

You should send a note to the forum Linhof expert, Bob Salomon on this question. Having the Canham 6x17 back myself, I am guessing that it may be able to slide in when the ground glass back is pulled...
The multiple development curves provided on the Foma pdf contradicts their earlier statement that "the film gives good results even when overexposed by 1 EV (exposure value) (as ISO 200/24 o) or...
I find that if you set the black point to the clear film base during scanning it does give you an indication of over or underexposure in the scan.
I spent a week on Orkney in June of 2014 - it was a bit windy, a bit cool, but not very rainy. I took both a 4x5 and a Hasselblad, and although I shot with both, it was a real slog taking both...
Sounds like the infinite monkey theorem at work...
Just to be clear on your question #2 - the answer is "No," you will not enjoy full functionality and choice of lenses when putting a 6x17 back on a 4x5. You will only enjoy full functionality in...
When I was attending RIT in the late 70's, they did not teach the zone system, and we did not use Ansel's books as our textbooks. And looking [way] back, I would not tell anyone to start with...

Just trying to be observant here - wouldn't the focal length markings be on the end that sticks out of the projector? Also, the end that the arrow points to appears more worn like its been rubbed...
If you mean you are shooting near wide open, then make your exposure adjustment with the shutter speed.

Thanks. Interesting that they made that change from the v750 film holder and also made the 4x5 holder for 1 neg instead of two. The raising/lowering options for my holders are rudimentary at best.
The 4x5 film holder that came with my v750 Pro holds 2 negs, which is not too bad. Other than that, the dot pattern seems to be identical.

I switched over to my 4x5 film holder but could not reproduce the problem you have. Here is the normal 4x5 thumbnail view:

If you restrict your thinking to any single line of lens maker you will miss out on the many special characteristics of lenses that don't have direct comparisons from other makers. A Wollensak...
I'm with Alan. If its not the "Normal/Thumbnail" setting then it could be something is blocking the tiny hole pattern that identifies the 4x5 holder near the large notch at the top of the holder.
When you are seeing the initial scan in Preview mode, you need to switch from "Thumbnail" view to "Normal" view by clicking on the appropriate tab of the Preview display.
This is where you need to...
