Hey Chris,
I know this thread is a bit old, but I thought you might like to know that the Toyo 810M you're talking about (and the same one you sold me many years ago) is still going strong. I...

Hi Kumar,
Are you still offering this service? I'm looking for Velvia50 8x10.
Thanks,

From there, I took measurements and added small individual shapes to their application. This was very time-consuming and not the best decision in hindsight. Although their application...
Today I’m going to review my experience creating new foam inserts for two Halliburton Zero cases that I use for a Fuji GX-617 camera. I used a company called My Case Builder, and the entire process...
The Icon will process 5x7 c-41: http://www.iconla.com
However, I'm not aware if they can process w/out producing clip marks/holes. I suggest you give them a call.
thanks for posting this. very cool!
A&I's Hollywood facility is going to remain open. If you've been happy with them up until this point, I don't see the need to be shopping elsewhere. The drive into Hollywood is not that bad....
I'm sad to say, but my Sony Artisan has died. So I'm in the market for a new monitor. But I'm not actually seeking advice regarding this decision.
Instead, my question revolves around how to...

I would definitely recommend drum scanning. If you want to print that big, I'd also recommend a 4x5" scan at 4000dpi. But if you have a lab do it, it won't be cheap, because they charge by the MB. So...
I suggest that you first do some testing to find out the exposure range of the film. Your results should tell you how many stops you have to work with.
After this, spot meter the gray card in the...
The lever on the side is for tightening. What you do is spin the tripod head onto the screw and then slide the lever to tighten it into place. The key is starting with the lever in the unlock...
I think it's unfortunate that the situation has come to this. Weird thing is that I was planning on entering this contest but decided to back out after all the drama that took place before the event....
Well, I'm back from my trip, and I thought I'd follow up with details. Basically, I was forced to have my film x-rayed in London two times...once on the way to Italy and another on the way home....
Just a heads up...I'm currently sitting in London airport on my way to Italy after having gone through airport security, and I was forced to have my film x-rayed. I was able to hand-check the film in...
That's awesome! I've personally never seen one before. Well, I probably have in old photographs but never paid attention.
Thanks for sharing!!!
How do you find out about these 'special' days?
I don't understand why anyone would threaten you. For what? Being a moderator? What could you possibly have said or done to warrant this? It's absolutely ridiculous. My vote is for a total ban.
Congratulations, Kirk.
Also, Samy's Camera. www.samys.com They have several locations.
NOR MINE!!!
True, but that's not the case with the 78xx & 98xx series printers. This feature is something that people have been waiting a long time for in these larger printers.
Undoubtedly, you're going to want both the scanner and the printer if you truly want total creative control. So it's hard to advise what is the better choice to purchase first, but I can offer what...
Congratulations, Domenico. That's a beautiful image and certainly deserving of inclusion.

I don't use this software, but it appears that the price varies depending on which scanner you're using it with. It looks like it starts at $398 for...

Oh...yeah. I read that last night. DUH! :o
Oh come on...you have to have cake on your birthday. It's just not the same without one.

So, has somebody already offered to bring the cake?
I will be bringing a bag of fresh, sweet tangelos from our tree in the backyard that was nearly hit when an 85 year old woman drove her car through our yard.
Other than that, I can...
I have a 7880 and get head strikes with sheets that aren't perfectly flat. I print predominately on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl. So what I do is 'de-curl' the paper before printing. I do this by simply...
It's one of the Harrison Tents. I've loaded 8x10 in it with no problem, although it's tight.
I've got a changing bag that I can bring.
Count me in!
Although I may feel like a fish out of water when it comes to photographing models, I'm still looking forward to meeting everyone and hopefully learning a thing or two.
Count me in as a maybe. I'll confirm within the next day or so. Looking forward to it and to meeting everyone.
Also...as promised...I'll bring a bunch of tangelos from my tree. Mmmmmmm.....
Ian,
True, the $450 only covers the cost of fixing the Spectroscan. But Ernst throws in a complimentary check of the Spectrolino. If there's problems, then any repairs and costs are discussed at...
I'm shocked, speechless, and I'm sorry for your loss.
The cons with tents are limited space and humidity build-up. But other than that, the portability is great. If you have a darkroom, use it instead.
