Unfortunately, doorstep theft of big ticket items is a factor. But if a package is low value and you live in a 'low risk' area, the UPS driver may have flexibility to leave it w/out signature.

You're right, it would have been - but at the time of writing I didn't know that they wouldn't be shipping out orders taken during the holiday.
The following is the holiday schedule for the Adorama phone-sales department: (The store is closed).
