Excellent seeing.
"Austin, ABSOLUTELY love the Kalmath Falls image!"
Me too!
I like it too. I wonder how it would have looked if you would have used so a 210 lens and/or a 240 lens to make the building just a bit more prominent.
What is currently the next level up from the Epsom flat bed scanners that will work with 4 x 5 film?
I have to start eating more bread with Nutella spread on it!
Well, how about one in your lovely home for a start! You can't sell what you don't show.
Perhaps a little bit of bounced fill light on the shadow side, but other than that a very lovely photo. It reminds me a lot of some nudes done by Edward Weston.
I think the "exploration" is good, but not so sure of the "need" for a panel in small sizes. What I think would be fun to see would be this wonderful photograph enlarged to actual panel size (in the...
I'd be curious how the young lady feels about her portrait.
" How ever... how much I do stylize the shoot (model) I want it not to be picture perfect (hair), same with pose for I do not go for ''elegance''.
Please forgive me. I should not have worded my...
A very lovely young lady indeed. But again, the harsh light is coming from too high of an angle. The light completely misses her eyes, which are in shadow, while other parts of her face are in...
Wanna tell us whats in that D55?
I like this portrait, but I don't like the lighting. Too much light from overhead causing racoon eyes and dark shadows under the chin and other portions of the face. May I suggest that the next...
I don't see how that could be. The rod that controls the tilt goes all the way through and is between the stay and the screw. A large bushing causes them not to touch. Its something else.
Ok. Cannot seem to find a manual, so I will just ask the question and see if anyone knows he answer.
Received a Sinar F camera with some other stuff I bought for the P2. F is in nice shape, but...
What did he teach you?
which developer do you use with the Forma 121 warm tone paper.
I like it too. But the white spots above her head could be toned down a bit as they are distracting, and I wish the flowers were in focus. Also, I would have liked to have seen this same pose but...
"Merg, I really like the feeling I'm standing looking down into the boat and up at the shacks all at the same moment."
I like that "near - far" technique as well. But what I really like even...
What happened to Forte?
Beautiful light!
When I was there last year there wasn't a cloud in the sky for the entire day I was there. Wish I would have had some of those clouds.
So what is the substitute for the Forte paper that everybody raves about?
what I want to know is whether there are schematics available for the various cameras for folks that want to take them apart.
Has anyone here taken apart a sinar camera?
While you are waiting to start your course with the instructor of your choice you should look into purchasing a copy of the book entitled:

"not right" for who?
The "artist" certainly didn't create nature. He/she saw something that in his/her own mind thought was significant or special and decided to make an image of it, hoping that somebody else might in...
To which I would add that in many respects our beautiful earth is already wonderfully "composed".
Too many words are wasted defining and categorizing what we instinctively enjoy looking at. ...
Interesting. As I often discuss with my clients, we can never really know what someone else is feeling when they describe their emotions (feelings) or their sensations. All we can do is relate by...
what is involved?
In addition to the publications that have been recommended on this thread, I can highly recommend four others (if you can find them).
1. Kodak Professional Photoguide
2. Kodak Basic Photographic...
How difficult is it to change those dried out levels?
Merg
it would be fun to take a walk with you and have you point out all of the things you see that I would take for granted.
Although there are many lovely images here, this whole thread is in many ways depressing. There is so much waste in America. In other places many of these buildings would still be put to good use. ...
I like Reeds as well. Almost seems like you have some hidden message typed in there. Very decorative as well.
Yes, for you Merg. I like how you held the detail at both ends in a difficult lighting situation. I like how you expertly applied your camera movements. But most of all I just like the feeling of...
Very nice. A lot going on here!
I think the true art is being out there looking.
