Hey,

That's exactly what I'm hoping someone has done.
Or, at the very least, run the same image using canned profiles on both machines on the same (3rd party) substrate.

The printer would see...
Anyone done side-to-side comparisons? Mostly concerned about color, detail, etc. Not so much, B+W.
Ready? Set? Go!
Hey,
One of the faculty members in our design dept has a Kodak Photo Printer 9810 that's gone wonky.
It's no longer supported and calls to Kodak have been fruitless.
Does anyone have a...
Brah, one of the most important things I've found with 5x7 is to take the lens cap off.

Still working on getting the hang of C-41.
Getting better at doing my own C-41.
Portra 160VC.

A few years ago we were printing some important work for a photographer. One of us threw a botched print out. Few days later a friend noticed that someone was trying to sell the (now signed) print on...
Thanks guys.
My first solution was Dupe Sky --> Filter>Average --> Blending Mode>Overlay --> Adj layer (to bring it around)
I'll try the other suggestions as well.

Super Moon.
First attempt at doing C-41 myself.
I think the issue is not enough developer in the tray.
Hey,
I have a sky shows some signs of uneven development.
Anyone have suggestions as to how to fix it?

Isn't there a place in PA that cuts down film?
You could probably send them a few boxes and have em do it for you.
I searched for the better part of a year. Then I made my own.
Easiest way is simply to epoxy a few nylon screws to the bottom of a few trays. (Be warned, someone here who knows fluid dynamics will...
Thanks adam. I'm stoked that I finally get to see them back up on a wall. It took a good amount of time experimenting to get it done right. I was originally shooting for silver prints but printing...
Tyler,
Thanks for the insight. Any thoughts on the dither pattern or droplet size when comparing the 9600 and 9880? These will eventually be prints about 35x42 from 5x7 negs....
Hey,
I gotta show coming up and the it looks like the printing price will = purchasing a used 44" printer and loading it up with Cone inks.
I'm familiar with the work-flow so I'm not that...
Bah.
Selective Color adjustment layer.
What lenny said
get 3 pieces of plexi. label them stop, fix and hypoclear.
dump the developer every time.
cover the others.
Indicating stop bath turns purple when its bad.
Hypocheck will give you an idea...
The ~ $600 price tag + the cost of the processor is way more than I can afford right now.
Is there any reason I couldn't roll a sheet into a stainless tank and process it in a similar manner to the BTZS tubes?
Yeah its like $30 in California for a year long adventure pass or $5 for a day pass. They're both avail at most gas stations around the forests and, of course, at the ranger stations or whatever you...
I didn't think you could tray process c-41
OK so I apparently cut my 5x7s down a little too small.
The lab can't process em.
I don't have film hangers or a jobo. Are there any suggestions for processing this stuff at home?
Thanks
Kirk,
My experience with a slosher involves Efke 25 and PMK. I was told to pre-soak for 5 minutes (which seemed overkill but I still did it). Initial agitation is done by lifting the entire tray...
I want more grain. Not a lot more. Just a little bit.
Yes, this totally goes against shooting 5x7 . . . but I (think) want it.
I'm usually shooting Tri-X or HP5 and developing in F76+ (1:9) or...
Gotta love a school that won't let you buy used/cheap things.... I *MUST* buy new and from someone we have an acct with (B+H or Calumet). If the last day of school wasn't Friday I'd turn a blind eye...
It goes like this: Students at this school are, for the most part, rich. Many (not all but a majority) come from the wealthier parts of OC, Pacific Palisades, Malibu, etc. We charge them $50k a year...
Hrm.
I really just think of those guys as the reputable version of a pawn shop. $10,000 diamond ring gets you $350. Pawn shop will sell it for $3500.
Eh,
I ponied up and bought a new one. We don't have a machine shop on campus I could send this to. Used to be that we could "call in a favor" from the facilities dudes but the school's policy has...
Hey-0,
One of my students broke the spring on a Toyo CX 4x5 back (you know, that crappy light weight field camera).
I called Toyo and I *can* order the part but they mentioned that there's a...
Hey,
I just bought one of these from you about 2 weeks ago. I've been testing it out.
1) Daisy Chain is not necessary imo.
2) not necessary.
3) i wouldn't mind lash points on top.
And...
Oh man. I want one for 5x7.
Thank you Lynn
Hey,
The GF would like me to strip/restore her camera.
It's a B+J 72721.
Any tips for removing the bellows from the front + rear? e.g. use a hair dryer, etc.
It doesn't look like...
I think the real question is
How many megapix will this be?
Joking aside, this sounds rad. I'd love to see one and put it to some funky uses.
Wow, I thought I was the only one that thought of herpes, the clap, the hivy, crabs and crohn's when I looked at websites.
