Here's mine, all set to go (still looking for a usable strap though). I don't see the need for a cable release when supporting the camera in the palm of the left hand and softly pushing the shutter...
I use 4x5, 13x18, 18x24 and 8x10.
Stefan
It would be nice if there were also metric measurements: 4x5inch is not equal to 9x12cm, 5x7inch is not equal to 13x18cm, etc .. 18x24cm would also be nice.
Stefan.
There exist 18x24 filmholders.
Stefan
It was somebody on this forum who presented it to me by pm, but I don't have that message anymore. Maybe he'll notice when you try a WTB message ?
Good luck !
Stefan
Yanke screens are also excellent quality.
The Shen-Hao arrived ! It's a BEAUTY ! It's often said that's it's that Shen-Hao is a nice entry point in LF, but I don't see anything second-rate on this and I certainly prefer it over the Toyo.

This is an old thread, but I still have that app on my smartphone, only now the latest version of Android does not have a menu key anymore: what used to be a menu key now shows all recent used apps,...
I also considered the HZX810 (I have a HZX57-IIA and I love it), but it has quite a bit more weight, and apart from rear rise and more bellow extension at the long end (both of which I don't think I...
Thanks all for your helpful replies.
I deciced to go with the Shen-Hao, since I have two Shen-Hao's already (PTB-45 and the HZX-something 5x7) and I have received excellent customer support from...
I'm going to buy a new 8x10 camera, and I want it to be light (I had a Toyo 810M: fantastic camera, but too heavy for me, so it stayed home because of that ..).
Which one would you choose ?
The...
What is the general attitude (if any) of people towards street photography ? Do they accept their picture being taken ? Is New York ok for street photography ?
Thanks,
Stefan.
I watched it and consequently packed another box of MF Tmax 400. Thanks!
Stefan
Ok, I'll have to be sensible: the 4x5 stays home :(, but I'll take my Fuji GA645ZI with Tmax400 (that's what I have lying around, and I will NOT be caught without a camera with film, never and...
Hi Everyone,
I'll be leaving for New York (with my wife, of course :-)) next Tuesday, January 13th, to stay for a week (leaving January 21st). We'll stay in center Manhattan, 50th street, and plan...
Somewhere on this forum, I posted the answer I received directly from Tetanal. It should be easy to find with the search function.

Stefan
I don't understand the two previous messages: I'm a backer and I'm in Belgium. Are there problems with international shipping ?
Stefan
yes, with Tetanal chemicals.
Ok, I got it working ! Thanks all !
Stefan.
@doremus: ok, thanks, so everything seems to be normal. I'll try with a smaller hose as an adapter, but it's strange that Paterson supplies a hose that doesn't fit !
@Michael: I didn't think about...
Hell Neal,
Yes, I read somewhere about that problem, but others did not seem to have it. Anyway, I would like to know how to connect it all correctly before disabling anything.
I found how the...
I just received one of these, used, for a good price, but there's no manual with it, and I have no idea how to install the "plunger" or whatever that thing is that regulates the water-inlet. Is there...
Do I understand it right that you first make a picture, develop the film, fix, dry, and then tape it with the image side on a piece of glass to remove the emulsion on the other side ?
"Clorox"...
Any suggestions for development?
thanks,
Stefan
@ Pete:

sorry, double post due to slow internet reaction
I have finally found some X-Ray film over here (in Belgium) and bought these directly from the main dealer of Agfa in Belgium (after contacting Agfa themselves, they called me, very surprised about...
Here's one from Duisburg (Germany):

used, but I have a hard time seeing any marks. Only the box and manual look a bit ratty, but the head itself looks great.

I want to start using my trialux for multi-spot measurement and I'm using a Durst 1200 enlarger with 401 colourhead.
When doing measurements with the trialux, should I do it with the filters of the...
Just a guess: could it be that reversing causes less wear on the brushes of the electric motor?
Stefan
I just got the Flm 58FT too, from ebay uk, with Manfrotto adapter: never thought a ball head could be so practical and easy to use. Thanks for the tip.
Stefan
Thanks! I just ordered two :-).

Stefan
Ari,
what is that level checking device used in the film? It seems to have the size of a credit card? I'd likt to buy one.
thanks,
Stefan
I have the Lowepro 600, but did only use it for my shen-hao 5x7 with about 5 lenses and all other stuff needed. It fits perfectly and I love walking with it. I did not yet try with my Toyo 810 MI,...
be sure to let me know then, so we can arrange a meeting.
Stefan.
Go for the best: either Westmalle or Lindemans Kriek :-). For "normal" beer: Jupiler or Hoegaards Witbier ("Witte van Hoegaarden"). A Geuze is indeed also very good.
In Louvain, there's a new bar...
Same here: I live about 10km from Louvain, hence about 35km from Brussels. We could make it a gathering and visit some places.

I learned that you have to develop the paper completely, until the blacks don't get any blacker. For RC, that would be 1.5 minutes, for FB 3 minutes. Pulling the paper out of the developer was a...
