So the lesson here is pretty clear. If you post in the classified section, you are of a lower status member and can expect to be treated as such.

Wow, so now the mods are joining in on the personal attack...just wow.
Just part of the beauty of this little optic.
No. absolutely not. In fact when stopped down to f/8 or f/11, the 90mm f/6.8 Angulon is very sharp indeed. It is a very compact and light weight lens - a favorite of backpackers and Photo...
Thank you Merg. Looks very interesting. I think I may try to get over there...
In California, where there are deer and open space/wilderness, there are mountain lions.
Its a good point and I agree.
I've had many good transactions here in the past...and even met some good people face-to-face in the process.
Under the current rules and restrictions, the...
I have to admit, the classified section here used to be a...well, it used to be Really Bad. The incessant bumping, the petty personal cat fights that would erupt in the posts...I remember one hopeful...
Would it matter if anybody had? Would anybody change their behavior or attitude? I don't think so.
Fuck it. Just close down the classified. The mods would be happy to be relieved of the burden. The old timers who dislike the classifieds would be happy to be relieved of the burden.....and anybody...
Very well said. I completely agree. Thank you.
Yup, prices for enlargers have been all over the place these past few years (past decade?).
Seems like prices have been on the rise lately though. I guess, I'm still living in the past. I...
Is it worth $200 ? Sounds like it might be a 45MX ? or 45 MCX ? If so, No. probably not worth $200...at least I would definitely not drop $200 on a Beseler.
On the other hand if it had a working...

Brad (who grew up in Minnesota)
I quit 8x10 years ago but still have the big, bright yellow Pelican 1600 flight case around here somewhere (probably downstairs in the room of requirement). The Pelican 1600 has room for the...
Apparently not. I mean, haven't you already answered your own question? "I have never noticed any ill affects form using my filtered water"
Like Drew hinted...don’t overthink it. Filters aren’t really necessary and you may find that you rarely use one. So, Just get a couple high quality screw in filters for the lens you have and start...

I use a pelican case....a big, bright yellow one - too big to carry on though. It has room for the 8x10 camera and two lenses mount on lens boards. Never have I had any issues or concerns.
100 = 2^6.644
So, ASA100 is about 7 stops faster than ASA1 and about 6 stops faster than ASA2.
Hey! I worked on the (engineering development) flight simulator for MD-95 too. I wonder....did we work in the same building, for the same people?
I like glossy for everything.
gypsydog is right. On the rare occasions that a Wehman 8x10 is offered, it sells pretty much for whatever is asked (but, usually around $2000 ~ $2500 as I recal). For what it's worth you would not...
This came up a while back too and iirc, the chemists said that light gray (and pink???) are also ok.
Thank you for this.

Life is Porno!
Are you balking at buying a Toyo Field camera because the modern, name brand, readily available, well made and slightly larger (than tech style) lens boards it uses each cost, maybe, $20~$25 more...
Those are all good lenses and I believe that they are also all APO - even if not explicitly labelled as such.
Are you doing 4x5, 5x7 or 8x10? The 65mm would not be very useful of 5x7 or 8x10 but...
the problem with focusing the lens plane can be that the object distance and the image distance are both changing simultaneously. As far as I can tell, this is really only an issue when trying to...
It depends - mostly upon what developer is used and whether it's being used one-shot or saved and rused multiple times. For most mainstream devs a presoak /rinse is really not necessary and in some...
yeah...what he said. Don't over think it. Analysis paralysis and all of that.
Try...something, anything.....
or sit at the computer and analyse it to death.
Only one option has a chance of...
jeez, that's really harsh...and, I disagree.
I think that using color slide film and sending your film out to be processed is a very good way to get started with large format. The color slide...
Yes. Absolutely!
It costs about $3~$5 per sheet to send out a sheet of 4x5 for processing. That's just to get the film developed and possibly a scan.
I don't think Amazon is a good...
I'm about 7 miles East of Sonora at 3100 feet - about 40 miles to the West-North-West of the valley.....yup, a hell of a storm is passing through. About 6 inches of snow accumulated over night. It is...
Really very fascinating. Sincerely, Thank-you for this post....and nice work on finding Jackson's spot.
I remove the lid, flood the tank with fresh water and grab the film with fingers....and of course, as Thomas points out, it is imperative that the film is loaded with the emulsion side facing in.
Seems like a perfect example of defintion #3. No?
Well done!
Thank you for sharing.
Are you limiting yourself to only new cameras? It seems like $1200 would be plenty to buy most used field cameras. There was a very nice used Tachihara 4x5 in the classified here not long ago...I...
it seems like all of the major bank in the Us now offer a service called Zelle through their on line banking app or web page....I do wish it would catch on.
