I believe that if you have a vacuum pump with sufficient CFM that there is no need for a manifold or valves. The size of holes and calculations for CFM required would be a rather straightforward.
I own and use this plugin regularly. It works better than anything that I have tried to this point. http://www.topazlabs.com/tutorials/remask.html
Working in video the technique would involve...
Pinetop is located on the Mongollon Rim here in Az. The surrounding terrain is timbered and elevated compared to the Phoenix valley. I am not aware of any interesting architectural structures in the...
Thanks Peter and Nathan. Much appreciated.
I have followed this thread with interest. There is a lot of good information contained here. I have a question that I don't have the answer to. For that reason I am posing it here. I have a Canon...

One of the things that you can do with evenly toned areas that evidence unwanted grain is to make a selection of the evenly toned area and add a small amount of gaussian blur.
Wonderful Bruce
I think that the sale and sale amount were wonderful. A very few can aspire to reach the level that this relatively young man has achieved.
Phoenix Art Museum has an exhibit (iconic Arizona) up from November 12, 2011 to March 4, 2012. An invitation has been extended to photographers to upload their iconic Arizona images for display as a...
That is great news Dan. Congratulations.
I spoke to a gallery owner here in Phoenix yesterday and he commented that prints of all types, etchings, engravings, lithographs etc, were down in price at least 50% when compared to four years ago....
I enjoyed this immensely. The process is intriguing and the video production was very good. Thanks for this.

No surprise there. They are having some major economic problems in the EU. Greece may default this weekend...Greek bond's dividends increased which is an indication of a rush for the exits.
Excuse me for asking but how many 8X10 enlargers have you actually encountered that have the same wattage bulb as a 4X5 enlarger? I can't think of a single one but maybe I am missing something.
You are getting hung up on a difference in terminology. Granted that you are probably correct but I am willing to cut someone that may not use the correct terminology some slack...that is something...
The largest lens/shutter that I have used in a Crown was a 210 Symmar S. I don't know that you will be able to mount anything larger than a copal one shutter in that lens board.
Ole, I believe that what the person commenting addressed was not what you are addressing. The light fall off he spoke of comes from the distance from the lens to the baseboard and with even a 138S...
The price of gold is in some part due to individuals buying and holding gold but that is not the entire picture. Central banks are increasing their holdings in the precious metal for obvious reasons....
One thing to consider is the lamp wattage in which ever enlarger that you decide upon. Most 4X5 enlargers are going to result in incredibly long exposure times for the enlargements that you are...
I wonder if this is truly the result of digital. Good digital papers are just as expensive as silver papers...in some cases far more expensive than silver papers.
The price of silver is up...

I assume that you have the timer in line ahead of the power supply. The thing that I would check first is the incoming voltage to the time and the outgoing voltage from the timer. The next thing...

I don't have an answer then. I wish you luck. I wonder if the printer is not recognizing the ink cartridge you changed...but I have nothing to base that on other than that is where your problem began.
Are either or both of the paper or ink lights on?
Very nice Jim...one of my favorite areas of the state.
