Good blog!
I have an 8x10 W Svedovsky, 120mm to 400 mm. Check them out
Also a custom Ritter built specifically for this application is more than a wee bit enticing
240 Computar covers, 350 G Claron covers,
I have purchased several lenses and shutters for my ULF project from Igors Camera Exchange...very happy with all transactions
Any info on
1. Calhoun labeled lenses, who manufactured?
2. Rapid Perspective = Rapid Rectilinear?
Lens is labeled Calhoun Rapid Perspective 14x17
Thanks any info appreciated
Wow! Keep in touch, for sure! For "The Bob" it will be up and running!
I will be shooting 20x24 this coming spring 2023, waiting for latest film order to arrive . Moving up from 14x17, also a great format.
Follow up: I did have SK Grimes put the 760 in shutter, I obtained also a 35 inch Artar is currently being put in shutter. Will be able to give results soon,
Any advice appreciated:
Found box of 8x10 FP4: expired
Thanks
Thanks Tracey, they are beautiful, nice format. Mine has also wide angle Bellows. I'm thinking of selling as I've moved up to 20x24 and had Richard Ritter make an additional 14x17 back .
Any info on the number of 14x17 Wisner camera s manufactured
and or still in existence? Any owners out there? I have one:)
I like my new Svedovsky 8x10 W. All lenses can ride on the camera, at the ready.
Touch base with Keith Canham for next order
I remember you and Les fondly from that Apug organization at Bob Carne's! What a great time!
I have some 10x24 lith film I will be experimenting with before ordering some 10 x 24 Ilford.
So sad to hear, had a nice visit and lunch with Will when he was in Las Vegas
Interesting, thanks
Thanks for the tip on the whole plate film. I ordered, Be here Monday
Yes, thanks,
The largest film I've handled to date is 14x17.
I've had lith film cut in the larger sizes.
One more question. I see rota trim has 24 inch and 30 inch models. Will the 24 inch suffice to cut the long side of 20x24 film or would the 30 inch model be recommended?
That's correct John, I agree, I'm going to start with the 8x10 and use a small rota trim for that, I will have to check on the different quality rotos available.
I just wantt to cut film, 8x10 to 4x10 and 5x8, 14x17 to 8.5x14, and 20 x 24 to 10x24 and 12x20. 1 sheet at a time as needed.
Thanks everyone...looks like rototrim is my best choice...
Thanks Doremus
Sounds like Roto trim..
20x24-10x24
20×24-12×20
20×24-10×12
8×10-5×8
I'd like to find a good one for cutting sheet film
Recommendations for cutter for film up to 24 inches max.
Thanks
Any info or reviews?
See you all there!
Shoot 5x8 on your 8x10. Use 8x10 holder, painters tape on the edge side
Any advantage 35-42-47 inch comparing Tessar , Artar, Ronar , Nikkor?
I really like these Reinold
Touch base with Thomas Gibson Studio, Kansas City area. They do a lot of commercial ad projects, 40"x40" wet plate camera, natural light studio.
Nice project thanks for sharing
Send Hugo Zang a note,
He will have "all the scoop"
